Come on bud.. just tell us. No one will be aggressive towards you for your experiences.

As for my story.. few years ago I was involved in a very bad car accident. It was 8/8/2008, about midnight. I was driving very fast on a small dark road. I did it to lose some frustration I have been having. I thought the road was straight so I had no hesitation going about 100 mph. I would not have done this had this been a road where vehicles drove frequently or where houses were nearby, so I was there on my own pretty much, with no threat to anyone other than myself and possibly an unlucky deer crossing a road. Anyway, the road had a small curvature that I could not navigate properly at the speed I was going, I lost control of the car, starting skidding and going sideways offroad, and wrapped around a telephone pole on the passenger side. It wrapped so much that the passenger door was inches from my face and a car looked kind of like a C. I walked away with no injuries other than regret and understanding of my own immaturity.

The weird part comes in when I looked at my cell phone the following day. I received a call and a voicemail from an unlisted number around about the same exact time as the accident. The voicemail was just bizarre - it sounded like some sort of chanting or tribal ritual noises, nothing at all discernable. At the time I thought little of it as I had other things to tend to like insurance coordination and explanation to my parents of what happened. The more I think about the incident now, though, the more I think back to that voicemail and how bizarre it was, and whether it had anything to do with me surviving and walking away unscathed from an otherwise deadly car accident.

My one and only experience was on ghost walk in Edinburgh, Scotland. I know many think they are suppose to experience paranormal things on such walk, but I didn't, I just wanted to hear the story's of the city.

Anyways, we were in the tunnels below one of the bridges. These were virtually cities in the 18th century, but were closed after massing floodings that drowned a lot of people and the tunnels were first discovered in the 1960's again.

Our guide were talking about the experiences people had experienced, I was in the back of the group, suddenly it felt someone was standing beside me and suddenly, it was just like someone blowing ice cold air into my ear. Now this couldn't be the wind or a breeze, cause first of all, we were inside and second of all, it was just concentrated to my right ear.

Many of the people in group saw how chocked I looked and how scared I got, cause I probably jumped a half meter. The guide told me that it was common people experiencing and told me that a women in her group got so scared that she ran into the tunnel system and found her first two hours later in a state of shock.

I love reading these stories, so keep'em coming

I have experienced much in my life. I have many, many events I could share here that are strange, odd, and/or unexplainable.

So here is an example:
I was a young teenager, going out for a joy ride with friends. To protect those that were involved I won't share the vehicle type or the other folks involved. So my friend driving; he/she lost control of the vehicle. We were driving along at about 65-75 mph. We slid across the country road and collided head-on with an old, large oak tree.
I was thrown out of the vehicle while it was flipping over. I hit the pavement and then slid into gravel; face first. I could feel my nose breaking, I could smell the blood rushing out of my body, my ears began to ring, and then I became completely numb, head to feet. When the vehicle landed it missed my skull by literally 2-3 inches.

I immediately had memory loss (didn't know where I was, who I was, or what month it was, I only remembered the accident details and long term memory stuff), and then I felt like I was walking away down an adjoining highway (somewhat floating). But the rest of the folks that were in the vehicle just remained standing/seated where the accident happened. I saw a man that had a strong resemblance to me. He was badly hurt and was covered in blood. But I was walking away and walked down the road. No one seemed to notice and it felt as though it was my duty and obligation to keep walking.

I blacked out at this point, and the next point I was at someone's house cleaning off my face in their sink.

I believe and know to this day that I had an outer body experience. I can't explain it, but I certainly should have died that day.

I have had at least 7 other times in my life where I should have died tragically; but did not.

That happened to me at around 8 years old.
I was walking to school that morning and started to cough and hacked up what I can only describe as a big deflated prune. Never did tell anyone cause it didn't hurt and no side effects,
but it did scare me. To this day I have no idea what that was.

Obtained the senses to detect and interpret 4D encryption from the Master. A single "statement" took 36 years. Others, so fast it takes me months to understand what was given. This is how it is all encypted so only some can "See". Although it is available for everyone for the taking.

Hah, I can relate.
A friend and I were also involved in a conversation via a TV in a random hotel room about 20-25 years ago. The man that was on the TV set was a local occult leader out of San Francisco. The broadcast was via public broadcasting. It wasn't intentional but it happened. Did not sleep well that night.

1 in 140,608 (assuming you reshuffled each time), but how many people have tried?

Craziest thing that's happened to me was having remote viewed a TV commercial that I was later able to describe in detail to someone who had seen it, even though I had not directly seen it...

I do not think I reshuffled each time.
No.

Thanks for those odds, though, I always wondered.

BTW , how did you calculate that?
1 in 52 X 3 X 3+ ?

Just wondering how that is solved?

Well you have a 1 in 52 chance of guessing correct. So 3 consecutive guesses from 3 shuffled decks of cards would be 1 in 52*52*52 = 1 in 140,608.

But since you said you didn't reshuffle, your odds are 1 in 52*51*50 (there is one fewer card in the deck with each guess) which is 1 in 132,600.

The skeptic in me would say at least a few hundred thousand people have played the "guess the next card" game with themselves, so a handful of people in the world are bound to get 3 in a row. The few who do will tell everyone they know, while the many who don't won't ever mention it.

The believer in me recognizes you did this right after reading a book on psychic power telling you to try it...

Then again, the skeptic in me would ask, how many people have read that book?

I've had a fair few weird experiences, mostly in the old house that I moved from 17 yrs ago, so this happened in '93.

Im used to not being believed on this one, I didnt tell anyone for yrs because I thought people would think I was nuts. I was laying on my bed, enjoying the peace and quiet while everyone was out, waiting for the water to get hot so I could have a shower. 4 people appeared in my room, they didnt come in the door, they were not there, then they were. They were all dressed in black and red, and about 7ft tall. 2 men and 2 women, all with dark hair.

I was so scared I couldnt move, I kept thinking, whats going on, I hadnt astral projected anywhere, was still in my room, and I could NOT move, not a centimetre. I couldnt speak either, or even blink my eyes. Then it was like everything went in slow motion, they had small things in their hands, a bit like the mobile smart phones we have today, and were talking and pressing buttons etc into them.

I only remember them saying, they were the 'Keepers of Time' and I wasnt meant to say anything. As soon as the internet came online years later, I spent MANY hours trying to find any other info on these people. I had marks on my arm afterwards for days, and its mostly a blank while they were there. It was also like no time had passed at all...

The strangest thing that ever happened to me was I had a series of dreams..3 days in a row, then one night no dream, then the following night a final dream. The dreams involved the thought of death, then the thought of death, then actual death. Then a night of no dream, then a night of a person who found out about the death. Everything in the dream came true and in order.

This is not the only strange dream that came true but, it is the only one that took 4 dreams to tell of the event and where I actually met a person in the last dream later...for the first time.

Back when I was 17 I and my boyfriend at the time were sitting around on a saturday
afternoon discussing the strangest movie we have ever seen I mentioned to him
that my choice was a movie called Psychomania which I saw back around 1977 it was a British horror film
about a gang that called themselves "The Living Dead" sort of a knock off of Clock Work Orange
type cult movie.
So he says to me boy I really would love to see that movie....at that moment I felt such a overwhelming
feeling that this movie is on tonight I grabbed his hand and I said listen this movie is on tonight I know it is!!!
I searched the house for the TV guide and went throught the listing for saturday then I got to 11:00 PM and
by God it was on we both looked at eachother in amazement the feeling I got when this happened was like a thousand electric butterflys flying around in my stomach...
I just new it was on. We waited and waited till 11 that
night and sat and watched it together. I've had that feeling only a few times in my life and I have learned to listen
to it when it happens, I'll never forget it or that movie...ever .

When I was younger like a little kid my mother used to work in a chinese take-away. I had got a new phone that day and I was staying in the take-away for a couple of hours with her and at some stage when I was there I decided to start taking some photos of everyone there. Later on that day I went to my friends house to stay the night.

The next morning my friend was browsing the photos on my phone and he woke me up asking who were these people in the photo. As he passed me the phone I became greatly confused on who exactly were these two people then I noticed an ornament of a cat on top of the refrigerator beside the counter and realised it was the a photo I had taken from the previous day in the take-away and saw it was my mothers friend who was also working there sitting on a chair but the person standing beside her gave me the shivers. It was large a women in a red dress with black hair just covering her face and it just looked evil. The figure was as clear as day someone was standing there but her features seemed disfigured.

I got so scared I ended up deleting the photo (which I regretted) because compared to the hundreds of photos I've seen over the web this one was just crystal clear like the cover of a horror movie. The building itself I know is old and dates back a good bit.

eh other than that I've seen orbs zip past in front of me, heard weird noises ect.

One of the strangest things I suppose happened when my son was 4 (he's now 28). He was always an odd child lol but by 4 yrs old he'd never spoken a word. We'd had him to doctors and specialists etc and all had more or less said he'll speak when he wants to. One Sunday morning Rememberance Sunday it was he'd got up before us and switched on the television and was watching the Poppy Day Parade as it was quite early and the only thing on at that time. His father and I came into the living room with his breakfast when he suddenly started crying, not sobbing just tears running down his little face. I bent down and asked him what was wrong hoping maybe he'd speak...he did..he pointed to the tv and said that's me that's my name. The camera was just going down thenames on the cenotaph in London and when it got to a name John something that's when he started to cry. Those were the first words he spoke! To say we were shocked is an understatement! Little did we know that was the first in a long line of events with him until he was about 13-14 when it all seemed to calm down.

Has to make me wonder about past lives something I've never truly believed in but cannot for the life of me think of any other explanation. Oh and from that day onwards he was adamant his name was John not his given name and regularly asked if he could change it. He stills remembers it all now.

When I was a child about the age of 7 me, my younger cousin (5) and younger brother (also 5) were under the watch of my uncle as my mom had gone out for the evening on a trip. We ended up staying up all night, it was summer so I was out of school for the summer. As the evening turned to early morning we heard a noise at the front door and excitedly my brother and I thought it might be our mother, our cousins aunt. We were under the watch of our uncle who had gone to sleep long before, it was now around 4 in the morning as the sky was turning a light blue.

At any rate, what we saw when we looked out the curtain was not my mother. The porch door was about 5 feet to the right of where we peeked out and what was standing there was something I'll never forget. A short, very wide woman with purple skin and a huge lumpy nose had her head about a inch away from the peep hole in the door. It wandered back and forth across the porch occasionally knocking on the door for what seemed like forever but was likely about 15 minutes. At one point it tried peeking into the window at us directly, we were under our covers crying, our uncle had passed himself out watching t.v. earlier that night and wouldn't wake up, but that's not the story here.

I always wondered why no one else had seen it as the street this took place on was somewhat busy even in the evenings, and at this time a summer fair took place across the busy road from that house.

The house was quite haunted. My aunt had seen an eye peeking in her room at one time. I was grabbed in the basement by something. There used to be music playing from downstairs when there was nobody down there. Anyway, there's more to the story but it was something I'll never forget and this is enough for now.

There have been a few other things which closely rival this in my memory bank but it's my scariest memory after a little thought. Most seem to be paranormal in the form of ghost stories / apparitions but I have had other oddities happen to me as well. I wonder why sometimes.

Wow I am loving reading all these stories, thanks to everyone for sharing and also thanks for posing this question!
I don't know how I would pick the strangest event in my life but I will tell of an event my whole family experienced, I like those because I worry less about having just gone crazy!

It happened 2yrs ago at a one room cabin my family rented for the weekend. It's located in a state park and is last cabin in a line of 4, with a thin line of trees between it and the 3rd cabin, forest behind it, a field and trees in front, and a LARGE field on the far side that ends at the edge of dense forest.
We enjoyed this specific cabin specifically for the seclusion!! We had heard noises in the night before, steps on the wooden porch but it's on the edge of the middle of nowhere so of course we'll hear animals and some might sound as big as a person walking across porch, nothing to worry about....

The night in question my husband and I were sleeping on futon, 6yr old and 11 yr old on bunkbed, and 16 yr old in tent in front of cabin. I thought I was only one awake as i routinely suffer insomnia. I heard a sound from far end of field where dense forest begins that made my breath catch, sounded to me like a pig maybe but like a scream, what i would suspect a pigs death scream might sound like, but that didn't seem right either because there seemed a human quality like a human doing a really bad pig scream?
All this flew through my head a matter of seconds, before I decided my exhausted brain was playing tricks on me. At that moment, maybe 30 seconds after pig sound, DIRECTLY on the other side of the wall beside the futon, on the side closest the field, came a loud raspy chanting in what seemed another language i didn't recognize.. Again my breath caught in my throat and my first thought was i must be really sleep deprived!

Then my husband says " ok you all heard that right? " and both kids said " yeah?! " and I said " wait you mean my mind WASN'T playing tricks on me?! " right then we hear multiple distinct sets of footsteps across porch.. Hubby jumps to door and looks out window but whoever it was is already out of sight. I beg hubby to go get oldest son, and had never been happier about my hubby having permit to carry! We get son safely inside, being 16 he'd been sound asleep and heard nothing, but for the next couple hours we heard voices, twigs snapping, and steps on porch yet saw nothing every time we looked.

Hubby basically believes in nothing of paranormal origin and was immediately convinced it was just kids messing with us, but he did share with me that at the moment of hearing chant he got a flash image of an old person in robes/rags with long hair and staff. That's the exact image i got except I thought man he thought woman. Whoever it was was about a foot or 2 from my face with only the wooden slabof wall between us. It certainly didn't sound like a kids voice. That weird pig sound was so perfectly timed it seems it had to be some sort of signal call yet that field must be a half hour walk through tough weeds and low brush so why put that much effort into scaring someone?
So there's one of the really strange things that have happened, sorry for length, thanks for listening!

I Can honestly say that I can't even begin to pick out my strangest incident. There have been far too many to list. So many of them already posted on ATS by me. I just can't say what is the strangest...well because my idea of strange is very high. I mean with the things that have happened which mostly can be passed off as bad memory/icorrect information, or ghost hauntings/residual hauntings I'd have to go through something like THIS Would have to happen to me. Now that is how high my expectations of strangeness are. A lot of the stories here fit that profile, I just don't consider mine anything nearly as interesting.

I thought about this while reading this thread.
I'll pick this order.

1. Dust devil formed around me while I was walking across a college campus. I was at the perfect center of the eye of it for almost a whole minute as we both arrived at my dorm and then we stopped. It dissipated after I decided to walk through one side of it. It got bigger on my way to my dorm building. I know of someone who claims a dust devil formed around her too. Either she is lying or the odds of meeting someone like that have to be astronomical.

2. One windy evening on 3 separate occassions a manual lobby door opened up for me as I approached and then closed behind me. This was in two separate buildings and only happened right when I got to the doors. There was no one around except one guy in one building whose eyes looked big and white and ran for it after he saw that. I wondered what he saw that spooked him so much? Maybe a ghost doorman that I didn't see?

3. Seeing dark helicopters escort a cloud just above the tree tops in broad daylight.

4. Arriving home from High School and finding out no one was home and that all the lights glowed red when I turned on light switches. I figured this one out when I saw a red glow in the refrigerator. It was a brownout. I still felt too creepy and got out of the house after a couple of minutes.
