Carr continued. “Perhaps—this sounds brutal and callous—perhaps an assassination, combined with a major defection taking a large part of its military, is what is required to get, one, a ceasefire, and, two, political negotiations.”

Just shut-up you stupid fool.. seriously, we are not in the game of calling for countries leaders to be assassinated. There's a reason Americans and British aren't liked, if we start paving the road to allow assassinations and declaring they should be knocked off AKA Julian Assange... we're no better than those doing the killing.

He's advocating assassinating a foreign leader to force that nation into political negotiations. This is a very slippery slope!

Bob, shut the hell up!

If the assasination will stop civilians from being attacked by heavy artillery and fast jet bombers then why the hell not. Is an assasination any different to the death penalty?

If only everything reported in the media were true, then I could believe that is precisely what is happening in Syria......but it's not, and it isn't.

Syria are fighting rebels. Only rebels. Just like Libya were fighting rebels and only rebels. Not protesters.

You know the US Government lied (an actual admission) about the whole protest in Libya over the Anti-Islam movie and the fact the Ambassador was killed due to the 'violent' protests. It wasn't a protest, it was an attack, a well coordinated attack.

Blithering bigmouth Bob Carr needs to take a moment and think this through. Actually, on second thought, hey, let them loose. Tit for Tat knocking off politicians. ROFL Thin the herd so to speak.

He is just asking some Jihadist to take him out.

SO severely incapacitated in the brain department.

This just doing the bidding of the US and Israel. Only in recent days I read here on ATS that according to a German Intelligence report 95% of the Syrian rebels are not Syrians.

You do know that Assad only received control of the Syrian Military 2 weeks ago right?

He had no power over the Military...
