Most intelligent quote so far on this thread. Martha Raddatz was trying extremely hard to get an "absolute" from Ryan so they can paint the Romney-Ryan campaign as "disordered."

Ryan is being careful. He will be held accountable by MSM, Biden not so much.

I could not stand to be in the same room with Biden.

The topic of war and conflict is going to be a really hot button issue

His hair is turning whiter and receding every time

You asked. I answered.

At least I didn't try to manipulate a response because of an edit.

By the way, you still have yet to respond to that thread.

Did I say anything like Lets go invade China?:

Hell no I didn't

What I clearly said was to maintain a superior military considering the face of warfare has not changed in 10,000 years.

People want to go back to the days of pre ww1 that is suicidal since this country does not have the industrial base it use to and the current problems of outsourceing.

Feel free to continue to twist that in whatever suits the fact is no one called for war.

NO One]

You don't get it, when you have a fighting force in foreign lands, you NEVER say when you are going to leave, unless victory has been attained and the enemy has been eradicated.

Doing so, puts the lives of those who volunteered to serve their country for minimal gain at risk..

I look at them as patriots not pawns in a political chess game.

You may see it differently, I don't..

We are losing too many of them right now for those who see them as a pawn on a chessboard.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want them there.. I want them home.. I just don't want a big target painted on them as they await the absolute date..

The debate had ended. This debate doesn't change anything.

Bottom Line: Very Boring and Dull

I'd suggest the wise real estate speculator get in on the big flat rooftops while the markets soft in Kabul. I have a feeling the roof able to land a helicopter may be a real hot ticket in many ways come 2014. That was the one big one of the night, I would tend to agree.

What debate were you watching?

Not boring nor dull at all.

I guess when the guy you support is getting his tail kicked for 90 minutes though, it might be hard to watch.

My conclusion...

I like Biden a whole lot less...and Ryan is way too green for primetime.

Invade China??? What???

There is a reason why they loan us money and we just happen to fight the wars in their backyard. We're their hired muscle.

You can separate your private life and your public life easily if you have no conscience.

Someone twisted my post into saying maintaining a large military means I want to go invade China.

I disagree.

How else are you going to drawdown troops? Expalin to me exactly how having a withdraw date paints a target on anyone?

It worked in Iraq, you seem to be ignoring that fact.

And I'm sorry, but the soldiers are pawns. You can look at them in any romanticized way you want to, but they are pawns of the government and are used to further agendas, not to protect anyones "freedom".

You are complaining about something that has worked successfully in the past.

I know who he reminds me of... Ryan reminds me of a young Nixon when he wasn't quite ripe for picking at the big table yet. Yeah, he is a little green around the ears, isn't he?

So we have Little Abner and the Old guy you humor at family parties because it's the right thing to do... What do we do?
