I was a police officer... not a soldier

Hello ATS! Long time follower here, but I just made an account a little bit ago. I finally felt that I have something to contribute to the group. I was a police officer in the DC area for six years and ultimately left for a variety of reasons. I hope that once I get my twenty posts i can maybe make a thread detailing my experience and hopefully have a thought provoking discussion about some of the things I observed.

I guess I should have made my introduction earlier, but better late than never!

I'm also new (as far as posting goes) and look forward to reading your experiences on the DC police force. I have a tiny bit of fear/distrust for most law enforcement officers and certainly don't know any personally, but it's a subject that interests me and I hope sharing your experience is helpful!

Welcome to the club..like many of us I am looking forward to what you have to show us. Could be very interesting...you coming from DC.

Its funny how Rome referred to their Officers as Soldiers and now we seem to be going in that direction. Its a fine line I guess... to protect and serve or to tax and enforce...
