Its a military base that has sensitive equipment in it. What do you expect? A welcoming party ?
Also there is no proof that aliens are there. Just rumors spread by people out to make money.

The BEEB knows its cover has been blown, most people in the uk know who they really work for, this stunt is a scyop program to try to regain some credibility.

Dont be fooled.

When did Groom Lake become a "UFO base"?

They test top secret aircraft there, which I suppose are unidentified to civilians, but the brass at Groom Lake know what they are.

since when is trespassing a capital offence.

those signs are to deter you from trespassing, not literal permission to shot trespassing americans without trial or charge.

if you where armed and waving a gun around, i think their restraint would be much, much less than the typical gestapo cops america has roaming around.

If you trespass on a military installation you can be shot for it. They technically don't even have to warn you, as long as the signs are prominently displayed. The fact of the matter it's that most people are smart enough to see the signs and not go there.

Stupid stunt aimed at drawing attention to their previous
work regarding the 7/7 London bombings 'inside job'.

The west is pencilled in for destruction (from within), and
7/7 government complicity will be the disclosure that kicks it all off (in the U.K.)
(Same story for 9/11 in the U.S.)

This will happen soon IMO.

But please note :
7/7 and 9/11 were completely staged events.
7/7 hoax
9/11 hoax

Enough of the games.

This seems entirely resonable to me.
They did it probably primarily for the creds of being a "serious independent news outfit" and not controlled lapdog MSM. And secondarily as a cheap thrills media hype revenue generating story.

People probably try this all the time, but we just don’t here about because they’re gagged or whatever. Even if they did get anywhere near the actual buildings, how would they plan on getting pass thick steel doors and all of that whatnot? There’s isn’t really any point going on the base because chances are you won’t see anything interesting, unless you somehow obtained or fraud a entry ID.

Actually...I have a BETTER IDEA! Why don't we just ASK for permission to visit!

I think I'm gonna try that avenue first! Number one I'm DEFINITELY into the
Tour-A-Semi-Secret-base kinda guy and I'd LOOOOVE to demo some of the
Top-notch fully autonomous vision-recognition-enabled 360-degree multi-camera
UAV technology I've been building all these many years to some of the head-honchoes
in the Test & Evaluation flight squadrons headquartered at Area-51.

YEP! I think I'll try that first...write'm a letter, show my photos and get a
YES for a "Sales Tour" request of Area 51 ... I of course want to get some
of that secretive Arm Patch & Ball Cap swag they probably have!

SO let's try the simplest solution FIRST! --- ASK !!!

Considering the way things played out, I'd almost suspect:

1. Somebody on the base knew they were coming well ahead of time. Not just by the perimeter breach, but by some other communication channel to the base command. The sentries on duty likely had ID photos and some idea of the planned route of these intruders.
2. Anything that could be considered important was locked up, secured, and put away for this visit. Nothing scheduled to launch or be tested. Thus a person could probably stroll around outside within a couple feet of the buildings, but no chance of seeing much that's interesting.
3. Since base security knew exactly who they were dealing with, they gave these trespassers the kid-glove treatment. The trespassers would get detained and roughed up in the end before release, and likely get denied visas to the U.S. in the future and put on some watch list... But the BBC crew was allowed to go much further than otherwise without being shot.

Still a media stunt which was allowed to go forward, but one that would be handled "within the rules".

This because most people don't get anywhere past the signs without somebody showing up and pointing a gun in their direction when they get too close, and those that do manage to go further aren't likely to be heard from again. (Not always "disappeared", but more likely forced to sign a federally enforced NDA contract before being allowed release.)

Have not read all responses...and the LAST time I went to Area 51 was in 2000.... however...I can say that in 1999 and 2000 the camo guys knew EXACTLY WHERE WE WERE when my hubby and I tried crossing that imaginary line....spotlight right on us at 1am....we were followed out by same camo guys until we left the area. The things we saw was uneffected by our position...we saw things that scared us out of our tent and into our car to sleep....just saying....

And we wonder why the media feeds the same stories over and over again. True journalism is just a victim to National Security.

If part of my money goes to build and run these military installations, I damn well have the right to information regarding what goes on there.

National Security is nothing but a legal term for legal industrial/corporate espionage.

It's a secret testing facility for new military technology. There are no anal probes there. Only drones designed to anal rape the US' aggressors with.

Pretty sure they are lying about seeing bodies of Aliens, theres no way they could get anywhere near anything serious. Ok, breaching the perimeter, thats one thing, won't get far doing it anyways. But Getting inside the actual base? Yeah, right.

Funny everyone just calls them the Camo Dudes. They are security sub contractors and are fully equipped to handle any problem that arises. Not sure if they do it still anymore, but Pinkerton is one of them that works closely with gov. As I am sure some have seen on T.V. of the security guys in their custom hummers with gat guns blowing up stuff. Basically mercs for hire.

They got caught because it's a military base and millitary bases are patrolled by.."Duh-da...da..daaaa", Soldiers with guns..

Tjhe millitary has every right to arrest idiots who go into their bases and any crew that sneaks into a base is for lack of better words, a bunch of "morons"...

Military installations are not public areas. You cross you get arrested. Whats the story here? They broke the law. If you don't agree with the law let me come inside your house.

You put the word UFO in front of BASE...you really got something there. I suspect they were arrested at gunpoint for sneaking into ANY United States base. This is stupid and dangerous and the outcome would have been the same were they to sneak into a base of a lesser caliber.
