It seems that Israel and the US have the largest ever Air Defense drill scheduled beginning Oct 21. Could they really be planning a strike then?

On October 14, large numbers of American soldiers are expected to begin arriving in Israel, where they will set up aerial defense positions on Israeli territory and on US Navy vessels off the Israeli coastline. The three-week drill will simulate various missile defense scenarios, and is expected to end with a live-fire interception of a decoy incoming Patriot missile.

Of course the US and Israel have already drawn up plans to invade Iran - They have authored plans to invade England, just in case!

I would have thought they would have planned for this years ago.

Iraq and Afghanistan invasion plans had been crafted years before the events that started them off.

This is going to be the catalyst they use to take away the last of our wealth and liberty.

Forget it no strike in October. Netanyahau, his UN speech gave a timeline of next year. Expect an attack after March 2013 any month after that.

I don't think anyone truly knows what will happen in the aftermath of an Isreal attack. Militarily longterm the United States would win, in a war against Iran. But it will not be an easy victory.

If Russia by some unforeseen circumstance joins the war against the west. My "god" say good bye to Mcdonalds and easy living.

i mean it states that nothing is for sure yet, as the US hadnt signed on to a plan (officially, that we know of)

New moon for October is the 15th, unless I am mistaken. 4 days to go from today. If it's gonna happen before the US elections, it'll be this coming week.

Otherwise, who knows. I am curious about this speech you speak of. So please provide links and such.. would be much appreciated.

What proof have they offered to justify drastic actions of this nature? I know the ulterior motive Israel has, but is the US seriously going to be drug into a new conflict because of these hypocrites? I say that if this is the case, Israel's behavior regarding nuclear capabilities and non-compliance on a global scale with other nations is justification for the rest of the world to attack, bomb, and sanction them as well.

The way I look at it is that war will start, Barrack Hussein Obama will pass some executive order, something along the lines of him retaining the presidency until the war is over (much like the Roman Republic), while everyone is distracted, and proclaim himself emperor of of the united states. we'll become a socialist state, and I'll move to Ireland.

Although Iran's capabilities should not be underestimated, why is Iran standing so firm under the shadow of giants, is it only because their leader is insane or is it because it is all part of a greater plan? What's the distraction to what the true plan is?

We obviously cannot simply bomb those facilities and trash a huge region with nuclear fallout, so what will be bombed? Their government? I think I've missed some other threads that might have answered all that.

Mate, it was outlined in that speech. Israel expects Iran could enrich uranium at 90 per cent sometime next spring or summer. Thats eight to ten months a way.

This is Isreal telling the world it can wait a bit longer. And lets be honest Israel is not going to attack Iran alone. It waiting on US support that likely will come next year.

Obamas Modus operandi *seems* to be USA supported covert regime change...I think he favors it to all out war. The sanctions are the angle he is working....hoping that they will cripple the economy enough to cause a convient uprising with a healthy assist from our intelligence community. That would be sugar icing sweet! Then there would be no need to worry about soldiers, guns, weapons or nukes....so much more cost effective. It also saves him from going down in history as the guy who went to war with Iran.

But if the sanctions fail....and I am sure there is a deadline for those to either work or not work, then the military option is all we got left if our gov really wants Iran overthrown. I think this might be more mitt romneys lane, so I do not see an October surprise but I do see a possible springtime surprise, especially if we get mitt in the oval office, but obama could do it as well if he remains in office. I just wonder what is the timeline for these sanctions to give out? How long will they wait before they decide they have to use overt force? I do not see anything big happening until after elections....but who knows....the way things are going I will rule nothing out.

I reckon Iran were lulled into a false sense of security.

China saying they help defend them but in reality they were saying 'when the time comes we wont back you.... we shall back the other side and take our res which we have invested in' and I would say Russia have done the same...

Surely both these Countries knew a war would soon be coming to Iran... why Invest in a Country when you know its coming? So you can reap the rewards afterwoods!!

As you say its too dangerous to trash the Nuke facilities so I think that bombing the Government and then taking out the Facililities with ground troops would be best! But then the Allies have to hope that the Iranian Armies aren't told to bomb their own Facilities to cause major Nuke Fallout and cost the Russians and China big time... especially if they blow up the Pipelines!!
