Ryan brings policy details, but supplies Biden with a big target

It will be a tall order for Paul Ryan to match the strong debate performance delivered by his ticket mate, Mitt Romney, last week in Denver. But that’s just what the Republican vice presidential nominee is tasked with doing on Thursday, when he meets the Democratic incumbent veep, Joe Biden, at his first (and only) debate of the 2012 election season. When Romney selected Ryan to be his running mate, the choice was cheered by conservatives excited to have a champion in the cause to curb government spending and reform entitlement programs. But Ryan has also provided Democrats a big target — a result of his proposal to fundamentally transform the Medicare program.

Wonder how crazy Joe will perform in this debate? The way Ryan wants to transform medicare doesn't seem to popular with many people. So will he hurt or help Romney's campaign? I wonder if we will see this ad during the debate.

Buster, as you should already know, I can't stand Obama OR Romney! But let me tell you something! Whether it is Obama's Affordable Health Care Act OR whatever the hell Romney has up his sleeves, we will most definately be reading about all kinds of atrocities within the next few years of grannys being thrown off the cliffs!

The only elderly our government cares about, are those who belong to their own families!! It isn't a partisan issue at all. It is an issue of spending too much money on those in society that don't contribute enough to society (TAX REVENUE so that the politicians can keep living like movie stars)!

I think the only certainty in this election is that Paul Ryan is going to obliterate Biden on stage. Biden would be perfect for hosting a frat party but beyond that he is going to be out of his league against Ryan. Ryan could come off cold though because he will most likely recite a lot of facts and numbers. Biden is going to recite a bunch of "I met Tim Tom and Sally Sue" sob stories to try to connect with people. If that works - it doesn't work with me. The moment a politician tries to "relate" I tune it out because its all lies.

How are you supposed to make an argument to curb government spending when Romney is running around talking about not not leaving Afghanistan, reviving the cold war with Russia, arming Syrian "rebels", and building more missiles, subs and ships? Ryan explaining a transformation of Medicare is the least of his worries. This debate is about foreign and domestic policies.

If Biden has any intelligence at all, he should have no trouble tearing apart Ryan after this week of Romney's blathering on foreign policy.

Ah! An NBC comment. Very insightful (not.)

Don't count out Say It Ain't So Joe". One doesn't have such a long career by being a total boob even if that is all we see on TV.

Ryan can explain his Medicare Plan succinctly even so Snoop Dog could understand it. His policy is stated in Bob Wodwards book if one should choose to read it.

Biden should do well on foreign policy but Ryan should tear him up on on fiscal policy. Since ABC is hosting this event with a liberal moderator, I expect few questions on the fiscal side. Biden has been coached for 6 days on what NOT to say. If Ryan can get Joe away from his talking points, Biden will do a worse job than Obama did. I do expect the moderator to help Joe out when needed.

By the way, it's time for Big Bird to ge a job. Sesame Street got one million dollars from the stimulus fund which created 1.47 jobs. (That is less than 2 jobs for 1 million bucks.)

None of this matters.

In the end the joke is on us.

None of them will ever work towards making anything better for anyone as misery and strife are what grant them their power and wealth.

Even the most socialist of socialists are in play against each other for a position in the oligarchy.

No one is ever going to look out for your best interest but you. All this tripe about the greater good and society is just to make you feel like satisfaction under government is possible so keep denying reality and subjecting yourselves and your neighbors to more tyranny day after day hoping for some bull# position that doesnt exist and the jokes on us. Not them. Us.

Stop playing this #ing game and the next time some asshat hops on a soapbox know it's all well and good until he suggests a position of authority or someone being "in charge" then drag him off the box and skin him alive.

No one is ever going to do anything that benefits you but you.

Your neighbor has no business in planning your retirement or financing your healthcare or approving of your personal relationships or taking your property and giving it to another neighbor or otherwise telling you what you can and cant do or how you can or cant do it. So why do you let government do all that and more?

I heard he's already trying to get out of it, I mean,,, How can you defend a Loser and his Lame Policy's that have not produced anything but the Chevy Volt, Unemployment, Larger Welfare Numbers and more families living with Mom & Dad or the Street.
His Obama Phone ran out of minutes so he had to Face his Boss, he couldn't Call in for a Sick Day Off Oct. 11th.
