Malala Yousufzai was telling the world the truth of what it is like to be a girl living under Taliban rule. She was telling the truth about the need for girls and women to receive an education. The Taliban didn't that this young girl was exposing them to the light of day. The Taliban didn't like that this young girl wanted an education and hoped that all girls who wanted to learn were given an opportunity to do so.

So the B******* shot the child, trying to kill her.

They also shot another young girl who was with Malala at the time. Grown uneducated indoctrinated men trying to murder 14 year old girls who want to go to school. Pretty freak'n sick.

Taliban Shoot 14 Year Old Pakistani Girl Activist

A Taliban gunman walked up to a bus taking children home from school in Pakistan's volatile Swat Valley on Tuesday and shot and wounded a 14-year-old activist known for championing the education of girls and publicizing atrocities committed by the Taliban, officials said.

The attack in the city of Mingora targeted 14-year-old Malala Yousufzai, who is widely respected for her work to promote the schooling of girls -- something that the Taliban strongly opposes. She was nominated last year for the International Children's Peace Prize.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, calling Malala's work "obscenity." "This was a new chapter of obscenity, and we have to finish this chapter," said Taliban spokesman Ahsanullah Ahsan by telephone. "We have carried out this attack."

What the Taliban were so upset about ...

When she was only 11 years old, she began writing a blog under a pseudonym for the BBC's Urdu service about life under Taliban occupation. After the Taliban were ejected from the Swat Valley in the summer of 2009, she began speaking out publicly about the militant group and the need for girls' education.

If they will shoot and attempt to kill a 14 year old girl they will attempt to kill anyone regardless of age, gender, or ability to defend ones self.

This is what the Western world is up against. I'm afraid that this mentality will never go away regardless of what we try to do to stop it. It's a no win...

Sad Story and I hope she will recover fully to continue her quest to shed light on these barbarians at the gate.

and people wonder why israel acts like they do toward islam....this is the resulting type of society you will have if and when a islamic government or group takes control....words are hollow, actions do the talking. the west keeps trying to placate and work with them. they need to clean their own house up, before they ever try and have any say in western countries.

The Taliban admitted that they tried to murder the 14 year old girl.
They said it was an 'obscenity' that she wanted an education.
She's a gem. The real obscenity is that those men get away with crap like this.
