US Air Force’s 1950s supersonic flying saucer declassified

Tighten the strap on your tinfoil hat: Recently declassified documents show that the US Air Force was working on, and perhaps had already built, a supersonic flying saucer in 1956. The aircraft, which had the code name Project 1794, was developed by the USAF and Avro Canada in the 1950s. One declassified memo, which seems to be the conclusion of initial research and prototyping, says that Project 1794 is a flying saucer capable of “between Mach 3 and Mach 4,” (2,300-3,000 mph) a service ceiling of over 100,000 feet (30,500m), and a range of around 1,000 nautical miles (1,150mi, 1850km). Project 1794 front coverAs far as we can tell, the supersonic flying saucer would propel itself by rotating an outer disk at very high speed, taking advantage of the Coandă effect. Maneuvering would be accomplished by using small shutters on the edge of the disc (similar to ailerons on a winged aircraft). Power would be provided by jet turbines. According to the cutaway diagrams, the entire thing would even be capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL). These images (two more at the end of the story) come from the US National Archives, which is tasked with preserving important records and documents — including declassified military documents. It isn’t clear why it has taken some 64 years for Project 1794 to be declassified, though it does follow on from the declassified news in 2008 that the US government has been monitoring UFO activity for more than 30 years. There are apparently two whole boxes of Project 1794 documents — but only the four images shown here have been digitized. Without a deeper look inside those boxes, we can’t be sure that Project 1794 ever made it off the ground. It’s worth noting that Avro Canada also worked on the VZ-9 Avrocar, though — which is basically the same as Project 1794, but a lot smaller. The Avrocar was originally specified for a max speed of 300 mph and a service ceiling of 10,000 feet — but in practice, it never got more than three feet off the ground or flew faster than 35mph

very interesting. i know there is a ton of discussion of man made Flying Saucers around here, so i figured that this would be of interest.

Why declassify it now, after 64 years. What little trick do they have up their sleeve that would make this relevant.
They have denied this sort of thing since that time, weather balloons, swamp gas, Venus etc. and suddenly its
"Guess what? We've had Flying saucers since the 1950's but didn't think you'd understand so we've LIED to you about their existence".
Can you believe anything that comes out of their mouth's?

Great find. Appears this has been declassified for some time now. It's also interesting this craft is reliant on jet turbines for flight and not any other means of propulsion. Not sure what the intent of this was but clearly it was an inefficient design.

This also tells me that those giant black triangle maybe man-made too.

That's what they probably put the Nuclear Jet Engines in:

They actually BUILT and RAN several nuclear jet engines and they are what blasted out all the fallout that poisoned America and forced Congress to shut down Americas Dairy Farms and start importing powdered milk from 3rd world countries. Every blade of grass in America had radioactivity that the cows absorbed.

Hitlers Nazis who were brought to America got back at the German-American farmers who bombed the "FatherLand" and let the Russian Army rape and kill their women.

You ain't never going to hear the whole story on that project. Hitler won.

This looks so fake to me.

Have a look at the documents... The "Final Development Summary" doesn't even bear a classification mark.
The "Project 1794 Cover" shows a "Secret" classification that's been striked through.

1. Such a project is not classified "Secret". This is the kind of projects that holds a TS classification.
2. Classifications are printed on top and bottom of each page.
3. A declassified document bears a stamp "Declassified" (usually red) next to the original classification/caveat print.

Move on please, nothing serious to see here. This is a fabrication. A hoax, in other words.

No, not at all of interest.
This has been widely known for decades.
There's books on it, it also has its own wikipedia page (which for me comes as the very first result on a google search for "Project 1794").

This particular specific piece of paper might have just been declassified, but the (worthless) project itself is very very old news.

Dr Paul Hill openly described his work (including pictures) on related projects in his book Unconventional Flying Objects.

Thanks for pointing that out. There's at least one more thread besides that one too. But I did get a cool signature image from the newly declassified sketch, right? There were 2 flying saucers in that sketch but the signature space is so small the second one wouldn't quite fit, so I had to settle for just one.

This should not surprise anyone. But yes the real question is whether or not the design had been created from the US in the first place. Very well could have been. The whole alien stories could just be cover ups for secret military objectives. Who knows?

So you are parked on a runway in 1956 next to a jet blast deflector with a Valknut logo. You notice a UFO in your rear view mirror marked 1794. What could it be

Most likely a pure dis- and misinfo project (as it always has been considered by those that know that stuff). None of those capabilities would be possible with 1956 technology. Even single-engined jets today don't have those features. So this is, seriously, much todo over nothing.

Sorry, I should have read more before I replied. I almost made myself look stupid haha, is there any kind of delete post functionality I am missing?

If the Air Force inherited or stole or accidentally came across the remnants of the Third Reich Projekt die Glocke, better known as the Nazi Bell engine or the Vrill-Odin saucer family (?), they would not admit it to the public.

Just this evening in fact, I saw a book in a Value Village that was about Roswell Disclosure. The Air Force PR retards were trying to pass off the Roswell gossip and accounts as "idiots seeing dummies in the desert", i.e. weather balloon crash dummies were to blame for the alien corpse sightings? LOL.

Roswell itself isn't the reason I am interested in Roswell. The reason for my interest is the Nazi space program rumors and Castle Furstenstein/Kcajz... the timing of Projekt Riese and the space program rumors seem to me to be a better explanation by far than "alien crash". What really happened out there? And what do human bodies look like when a uranium powered engine fries in close proximity? Would they look like little grey men? @.@

BlackSun cult was srs business. I had NO FRIGGIN IDEA 'til last winter, and made quite a large Prisonfail thread about the SS religion, space travel, psychic channeling, etc. I also spoke of Scientology and how it resembles some of Crowley's teachings. Crowley pushed the idea of an alien messiah just like the Scientologists...

and it all boils down to some crazy Nazi spacecraft -- and the real mystery is,

where the hell did the Nazis get the schematic for that blacksun craft?
scary huh?
