I was immediately struck by the mountain's similarity in appearance to Mt. Shasta, as viewed from the east. Shasta, incidentally, is a volcano.

Wow, that is a truly amazing painting. I hope that when you finish the mermaid/dragon one you post how it turned out!

I am happy to see this painting circulating again.

It is an awesome piece, and you are a very talented artist!

I look forward to seeing the finished product of the other one also.

Great job!

OP..... WOW!

The last few days I have been inspired by others who have been having "visions" to paint.

Our world today is soooooooo iffy, ya know. There is so much uncertainty in the world today. People like you and others show me God's love.

Inspiration is unseen.... it is an emotion that awaits you and I am sooooo happy that you are pursuing this gift because others like me become so inspired it takes the breath away!!

Thank you so much for sharing your gift!!!!

Here is a thread I created this morning www.abovetopsecret.com...

Op you will love it... come over and see what inspiration I was talking about in my above post.

I was stunned to find your thread and was contemplating on sharing another artists story... when I saw your thread I knew I must share... and so I did.

Thank you for inspiring me even more! xoxo

I think it looks more like Mt. Ararat

Oh and for good measure here's a photo looking down from Ararat

Now you need to start painting the Heroes and make sure I can fly or I am invulnerable! OR BOTH!

Interesting with the tree

Perhaps the mountain is pure pareidolia and people will see what it reminds them of.

I am open to just about anything when it comes to this painting.
It was purely pulled from my subconscious so it could be universal symbolism.

The key to face recognition is looking for the eyes. Then the whole face, often reptile or insectoid or grey or distorted human/gargoyle often leaps out.

I remember that painting Db, it is still compelling. Interesting thread, the similarities with Shasta are chilling. Good to see you following up on this.

It was a neat thing to look up actually.

I typed mount shasta spirituality into google just to see what would happen and found out a lot of stuff

I showed the wife and she was all,
"Let's Go!"

that's pretty sweet..

I like the progression from calm to chaos..

and there are some really trippy things going on in there..

I wonder if there is a mountain somewhere

that is a dormant volcano ready to erupt...

kinda like close encounters..

have you had any more visions or inclinations to paint

this mountain again? or to try & find it?

Here is some of the photos, and some drawn on outlines, to show what I see. Also, there is rarely one being. Its like layers or a beehive collective. I really do not recommend "merging" like many mystery school, military and occult do. NOT AT ALL.

No, no visions since.
And I have not tried to recreate the vision again either,
if I do paint another one like this, I hope it is a lot happier

Finding volcanoes that resemble it is always something I keep an eye on.

Oh wow... you and the wife should go!!!! Well, if you know for certain which Mountain it is.

The one with the tree in it a few posts up does resemble it more than the other one.. to me.
