BH: it says that's what he's going to do.. not that he has said this yet.. that's my point right now, where did he actually come out and those words utter out of his mouth, it's kinda like the story that ran locally here (and they had to retract) that Obama said he was opposed to allowing Israel remain a nation..

So far it's some "bit of paper" that has been circulated, the timing is suspect, and while I don't like Romney one bit (nor do I like Obama) until he comes out and actually says this, there's some room to wonder if he really feels this way..

And anyone else, please do not take my questioning the timing on this to in any way think I support Mitt Romney...

It says Mitt Romney WILL CALL FOR arming Syrian rebels etc etc
His big foreign policy speech was today. I watched. I didn't hear it.
If anyone can find a transcript that says he actually said that ... post it here.

What he DID say was that he wanted no daylight between us and Israel.
Those were his words. NO DAYLIGHT between us.
And he condemned Obama and others for 30,000 civilian deaths in Syria.
(no surprise .. it's an election cycle so he'll do that).

But I didn't hear anything about arming the Syrian rebels ... or did I miss it???

In the speech that I heard, he called for helping to supply the people with our/his values? To help them over throw Assad and bring down his regime. Who are the people trying to bring down Assads regime? They have our values? Regime change via Terrorism?

Here is corroborating evidence to suggest that Romney did in fact state these things.

Romney pledged that his administration would work to find elements of the Syrian opposition who share US values and ensure they obtain weapons needed to defeat Syrian President Bashir al-Assad's forces and end his crackdown. Syrian rebels have accused the United States and Western allies of sitting on the sidelines of the conflict.
