If a person wants to be Evil let them be evil. I admire greatly the honesty of a person. If a person proclaims themselves to be the Devils sporn. Lets them sporn away. If they get a desire to set a person on fire if they look at them the wrong way, just dandy.

If they hate a particular religious or sexual orientation let them. If they are a hater of the weak, fat or stupid let them hate. Dont try and save them, because if you do your making yourself weaker. if you see a person about to jump of a bridge offer them a last smoke or suck on a can of coke but dont stop them. And for heavens sake dont use some simple minded pyscology or reverse pyscology like your hurting inside man or im eviler than you! Thats junior pyscology for dum dums.

So am i getting support on this?

What if that act of giving the last smoke or sip of coke is the one act of kindness that changes their perspective and they decide not to jump?

Or did you not think this thru?

You need a hug, life is good

In general, I will agree with you. People can do what they want.

But there are some factors that need to be considered.

Ex: What is my relationship to the person in question. And will their actions cause me some type of inconvenience?

My apology, I should of made the context clear. I meant strangers.
I mean let them jump it could be their only life ambition fulfiled.

I actually agree with this. I think people should be free to act however they wish. Within this concept is the freedom of large groups to decide to lock up killers, rapists, thieves, etc.

Maybe the best way to help people is to not interfere at all. Maybe this is what the invisible aliens, proposed in another new thread, are doing.

Aliens are here

Perhaps this is one of the top principles of the ruling elite, to allow as much freedom as possible and never show themselves or overtly influence. If this were true, all of the public realm power groups (churches, govts, IGOs, think tanks, brotherhoods, corporations) would be a step below the top on the scale and probably as clueless as you or I.

Edit: just realized the thread I linked is from the same OP.
You're welcome broseph.

I actually agree with you on this, and i'm assuming you'd be the same as me in that, to answer the question a couple of posts back, if the smoke or drink of coke changed their mind, then that's their decision.

Well, then yes. I would most likely let them do what they want for the most part.

But still, there are factors in play. Can I benefit from their actions, or will it cause me to be inconvenienced? And is the result either way enough for me to bother effecting the outcome?

If their action will have no effect on me, then I will not interfere.

Is helping a stranger "fall" off a bridge any different to helping a friend or family member "fall" off a bridge? It still helping.

What is this rope I am handing you?

That is the deceptive nature of evil--there is no good to be had from this metaphorical rope...

This hypothetical person on the bridge, you see him and offer him some coke. Maybe I see him and talk him out of jumping--not thru any altruistic motivation, out of my own sheer selfishness. I might not want to spend the rest of my day in the police station giving a witness statement.

Or I might be an altruistic person and want to help him; and I can clearly see that its a long way to walk back down... fastest way to get from A to B is gravity.
