that is what they thought in Spain. Then the war took longer than the rebels thought, and the government couldn't repel it like they thought. In the end they were all wrong and a country was ruined and scarred for life.

Violent revolution would do nothing but make war.....then things will go back to the way they were.....just with more dead bodies and reprisals.....

That is why the Spanish civil war is not a good example , The French revolution was different in every way it came from the people and it was against the rich ,, still to this day the power is still with the people of France so any loss of life was worth it in the end , nothing in man's great history has ever been won with out lives been lost,,,

i will rephrase that no great and long lasting changes have been made without loss of life there comes a point were peaceful protest does nothing and is only greeted with violence,,its fine been a peace lover and anti violent but there comes a time when you have to fight for what's right if the governments are not doing what's right

I AM the people--the mob--the crowd--the mass.
Do you know that all the great work of the world is
done through me? I am the workingman, the inventor, the
maker of the world's food and clothes.

I am the audience that witnesses history. The Napoleons
come from me and the Lincolns. They die. And
then I send forth more Napoleons and Lincolns.
I am the seed ground. I am a prairie that will stand
for much plowing. Terrible storms pass over me.
I forget. The best of me is sucked out and wasted.
I forget. Everything but Death comes to me and
makes me work and give up what I have.
And I forget.

Sometimes I growl, shake myself and spatter a few red
drops for history to remember. Then--I forget.
When I, the People, learn to remember, when I, the
People, use the lessons of yesterday and no longer
forget who robbed me last year, who played me for
a fool--then there will be no speaker in all the world
say the name: "The People," with any fleck of a
sneer in his voice or any far-off smile of derision.
The mob--the crowd--the mass--will arrive then.

-Carl Sandburg (1878-1967)

yet in France, the same thing they fought returned, they lost much of their intellectual muscle, and their treasuries, had wild witch hunts and ended up right where they started,

In Spain, a place and people that VERY FEW truly understand , it would be the same as before when the dust settles. Maybe worse. A violent and terrible civil war is all you would see here. Really, Spain with its over a millennia of foreign invasion, is ripe and oozing with revolutionary spirit. We fought everyone from the Romans to the Moors, to the church.....we will go ape and burn/ kill all and everything opposed just to be sure.

If Spain erupts in armed revolt, we will invade Europe with revolutionary sentiment and make the Arab spring look like a vacation.

When mass graves fill in Spain, and you see old people and kids shouting revolutionary rhetoric, you will regret ever supporting an armed resistance in Spain.

I do not know if you are a Spaniard....I am. I can tell you that without proper guidance we are war horses. Wild and dangerous to try and harness for an evening stroll. If the Spanish passions are stirred they will only get tired one day, not be done with the fighting as long as they have fight left in them, EVEN IF THEY WIN. Europe and the world are too inter-connected to set that wild fire off. With the state of the world as is, our civilization would cease to exist.

I've seen some of the people think this is aa lot of hype, by trouble makers.

I've also seen the lies being reported to the American people by the media, as to what is really going on in Europe.

It's not just Spain, it's not just a few thousand people, but 100s of thousands and it has spread thru out Europe.

This was predicted in 2009, as was the end of the Euro, not sure about year on that one.

I did read that the people of Spain will not give up no matter how much they beat them, plus with the unemployment rate of 50% with the young men of Spain what else have they got to do, lay down and die?

I also read Germany is going to let Europe fail, so what can you do.

The people of Spain are a lot stronger than everyone thinks.
They're not going to suddenly burst in flames, this is not 1936 where there's no food anywhere and the only food is 20 km on donkey ride.
I live in the MOST unemployed part of the whole of Spain. Families and communities help each other get through the struggle.
Things are really bad, but for revolution?
Not yet, I don't think so.

I am British living in southern Spain its not just about Spain the whole of Europe is in the same boat in Britain there are children going to school hungry people having to go for food hand outs while the people who made this mess get millions of pounds in bonuses ,we need a Europe wide revolt in fact a world wide revolt ,

In France to this day if the people of France say non to any new laws or changes to there rights then they don't bring the changes in ,, many time in the last 5 years the French people have brought there country to a stop with there protests and have won , so after the French revolution the power stayed with the French people so it did not return back to the way it was ,,

The Spanish don't need to invade Europe with revolutionary ideas they are all ready there ,,it is just that other country's in the eu are not hearing about it as the media are not showing it because they don't want it to spread this time around the revolution will not be televised ,,

i dont know where you live but did you here of rioting in Holland and Britain i know most British have not heard about the riots in Spain and Greece and Portugal because there is a media black out on it

I think the elites of the world are just going with the flow and even facilitate all the revolutions.I am pretty sure afterwards they would put on different clothes and reappear as socialists or Islamists or whatever makes the people happy!...when there are trillions of dollars involved, mind blowing creative plans could emerge very easily....Spain is only a piece of a larger plan which is the occupation of the whole Meditereanean region....Saudi arabia and Turkey are not excluded, but they think they are....How is that for a conspiracy theory? or is it?!

So you don't draw inspiration from it and think about doing it yourself. I'm sure you already knew that, however.

I see everyone getting worried about whats coming, why? If you have food, shelter, and the essentials, then why would you be upset? All you are worried about is losing your toys like an Ipad, that you have been trained to love for some reason. I for one, am banking on WW3 being sparked out of a conflict with Iran and Israel on account of, there is no chance the Iranians will blink and no chance the Jews want to let them have one (War hawk Romney leading likely voters currently). Israel strikes Iran, Iran strikes U.S. bases in Iraq like they said they would, U.S. joins Israel, and Russia and China have to respond to Iran or all their other proxies in the world will no longer respect them and their word of loyalty. India, not sure about them, maybe just IT support for all sides. Elites go down in their sweet bunkers. So, then the nukes are exchanged and as Einstein put forth, 2/3 of people will die, the earth will be fine other than the radiation zones and the roving rape gangs. Then as Einstein cleverly pointed out, WW4 would be fought with sticks and stones, I believe he was making a joke there sort of...The survivors will run out of bullets stocks fighting each other and most likely resort to blacksmithing swords and medieval implements of war. Elites come out of bunkers with armies and see who can fill the power vacuum first among themselves. Sounds awesome to me and if I die, no problem, I have faith in Jesus and if I am wrong and just go to an endless slumber, what do I care? Will I know the difference? I think not. This works for me, good luck with your atheism, and if by chance you are wrong, oops!

Sit rep: Just got back from Spain on Monday, so here's what's happening on the ground. The police don't have any money to pay their phone bills. Certain autonomous governments don't have money to pay for medicines, so the pharmacies are empty. People are growing a single crop and bartering the produce with their neighbours. All "work" is cash in hand and therefore untaxed. The saddest thing I saw was a guy driving round the countryside with a megaphone, day after day, selling 4 melons for 5 euros. In a month, I saw 1 Spanish person in a bar having a drink; all the other customers were English. My girlfriend's house got burgled and apart from a laptop, they stole cosmetics, soap, a cylinder of gas and left the flatscreen TV. In the local hotel/bar one of the kitchen staff (a woman in her 60s) is the only person employed in her family and has her 5 sons and their families living with her.

it's going to get worse I imagine.

whoa, hold up a minute. This subject always gets on my nerves.

You know the difference between Spanish colonies, and England´s for example....we left native people there. We did not commit genocide. We fought a war of conquest...and guess what?, we didn't invent it. The Aztecs and Mayans all had theirs and their society was already in an advanced state of decay. That is how a small group of soldiers managed to conquer an empire. Disease set in upon their arrival, but the population was already reduced due to famine, they had too much infighting and were in a state of civil war....over urbanization had made the forest around their cities recede and food supply diminish.

As far as erasing history, Their last leaders all consecutively erased their history and rewrote it, to place their families in the royal lime light. They changed all aspects of Olmec-ization, which favored altruistic mentalities and civilized behavior. They changed the religion and made it a blood thirsty and savage one, as opposed to the benevolent and enlightening nature it once had in its antiquity.

Maybe we did a service by burning lies and ending the brutal rule of overlords that had their respective societies by the collective balls and were executing and pillaging like it was going out of style. Maybe you wouldn't want to be remembered by something some jerk and his friends made up to get in power, which resembled the mentality of an apocalyptical world view. Maybe since what chance the people had to get out of that had come and gone, the arrival of a new force was a natural part of nature and so inevitable. Why resent the cycle of life?

Like one ant hill being pissed because another invaded its colony last summer. Think to the countless times that has and will happen over time. Why enjoy the suffering of your contemporaries because of something yours or my ancestors did hundreds of years ago?

The problem is that south American politicians and educators use the resentment they create by vilifying the Spanish while ignoring the brutality of the native leaders so as to sway opinion into an ignorant rant, rather than an organized thought process. Maybe they do that so people don't realize how bad their leaders are. Chavez with his "Yankee devil" has hidden all his errors and made morons chant his name with enthusiasm. Same deal here.

Do you not know of the Spanish that fought side by side with the natives like the Jesuits, who died protecting the natives sovereign right to exist as they please? No, guess that was not taught in your anti-Spain class.

You should side with your fellow man and stop celebrating the horror that is coming to cities near you.

Karma by your logic would suggest that what happened to the empires of south America was just and well served. Maybe they were killing people and ruining their world to the point that balance was needed and so brought and delivered by the hands of the Spanish......Maybe we were a force of karma....and you still haven't learned your lesson from it. Why does any country in south America still have hostilities with each other....?

Because you need more karma correction....that is why....by your logic that is.

I know that is off topic, but it is true, and needed. It is not fair to judge my people because of something all of Europe did hundreds of years ago, not to mention the rest of the world without exception. That is not representative of these people, who welcomed south Americans into their country and share what they have in hard times. There are plenty of south Americans in Madrid bleeding side by side with Spaniards.

and my wife is Mexican so dont even.

The landing area is the easiest place to kill it . With enough people you could overrun it . Iran ( Russia) brought one down by compromising it's remote guidance .

THose big armed and small armed drones are up there . Yes Armed .The one thing a government does first is to make sure it stays in power . The FBI and FEMA both see people arming and why they are arming .
We can't fight our government with any success . Remember the movie < Terminator >and the Hunter Killer drones the HK's . There here and we can be hunted now .
