The Israeli Air Force has released footage of one of its fighters shooting down an Unidentified Flying Object that flew in from the Mediterranean Sea , they believe it may be an unmanned aircraft of unknown origin , or could it be something else ....

It looked pretty small compared tot he size of the missile.

Had to have some sort of drone IMO.

Just as I wrote this a news report came on saying it was a drone.

Darn it, those RC helicopters are expensive. Can't they let the kids have some fun without shooting down their toys?

Hey Gortie, S&F!

I hate to say this but I'm so bored with UFOs. I originally established my membership on ATS because of my love of the UFO topic. There are so many great UFO sightings and "incidents" that still remain unsolved, etc. But it seems there really isn't anything new or really mysterious out there. Maybe I'm just not as psyched about UFOs anymore. That giant undersea mushroom peaked my interest but I'm not reallly sure what's going on with that either. I absolutely love the Roswell Incident. Also, anything to do with Area 51. Lately, I've been less interested in what aliens the government is hiding at Detachment 3 and more interested in the day-to-day operations of the facility, like security protocols, previous classified projects like Oxcart and Aquatone, etc. I really enjoy interviews with former 51 workers; those are pretty cool. I was really into Dr. Greer and the Disclosure Project but that fizzled out pretty quick too.

As I've backed off the alien forums, (and gotten older lol) I have found new interests in the 9/11 forums, and perhaps my favorite conspiracy of all time, the assassination of JFK.

As disclosure agreements begin to declassify because of time we might begin to see some pretty interesting and cool projects and operations. Hell, a lot of the guys involved with some of the early black budget projects have died and taken their secrets with them. The History Channel aired some fascinating programs this year about the U-2 and Blackbird programs; much of the details of about these programs remain classified.

Anywhoo...good piece Gortex, as usual. Keep up the good work my friend!

Even though the drone is gone, whoever lost it still came out ahead on a per-cost basis.
R/C kits and computers are cheap and a drone made using parts from them could run around like $3000 compared to an $85,000 sidewinder missile.

I'm surprised F-16 pilot just didn't use the gun.

Sadly, I don't think the Palestinians will get their land back by saying 'please'.

As long as the US backs the taking of land that doesn't belong to Israel, Israel and the US will have problems in the region. Everyone else but Israel and the GOP understands that. Go figure..
