In Search of the Most Frightening Place I have Seen Covered- Info Needed

A few years ago I watched a special wherein three (or four) "investigators" looked at several of the most evil/haunted sites. I think the emphasis was on evil.

Well, not one really stood out except the extremely rocky area centred around this dark pit. They investigated and many f'ed up stuff happened.

Dogs whined, ran away, and just hated it there.

IIRC, this was in the South somewhere. I have never heard of it since and search on all the major sites came up with no joy...

This site seemed to have potential but the it disappeared from any source AFAIK. this place freaked me out and I am not prone to such emotion - I mean two tours in Afghanistan, tours in Bosnia, advisory positions in Iraq (2004) and Somalia and a couple other less public deployments have given me a thick skin (aside from my PTSD - I'm working on it)- but it well and truly put the freak out on me.

From what I remember the name was something like "Devil's" something or Demons' something.

Please. Anyone remember this show? If so, help me debunk this.

I'd like to visit the area with my dogs and maybe a few experienced (you know what I mean) teammates.

If you know this site, please reply (or U2U me so we can keep other prying eyes out before we visit and attempt to come up with some explanation - whether logical or supernatural).

It was on some cable network specialising in these topics; I just can't pinpoint it.

I'm hoping someone can assist and ATS can get in on discussing/confirming/debunking this. I think I found it. 'Mel's hole' aka 'Devils hole'. I've never heard of this. The article seems to say that not many people know where it is.

I think they MAY be it but I can't view to vids so cannot confirm. Great work, brother.

I want to see the vids cuz the area around the pit is a large area of sharp rocks that tore up the dogs' paws and investigators' shoes. Can't see from the thumbs but need a wider view Or the original show's vids to be 100%.

I'll be starting a review of the area and calling in some favors to try to get some detailed analog and digital intel on the area. I'm a bit weak on the historical/academic contacts; so anyone else with an in would be welcome as an academic consultant on the expedition. Also, some contacts in the documentary industry would be welcome

Ummm.. do you have any idea where to start? I'm familiar with this area in general from having been all over it across back roads and everything else for apples and the various other produce items between Yakima and Wenatchee. This is a big area. You're looking for a hole....that the story seems to say no one knows anything certain about where to start for a place to look? I hope you find more to go on.....but you can at least eliminate all the farms which cover areas of land all over there. There is a lot and they are in some of the oddest places, helping to eliminate additional areas.

Man I love atts, just when I thought the Internet was slow to nightI see you guys doing some cool stuff. Wish I lived near by, I would love to camp out over there. I am always up for something scary. I would always skip trick or treating to watchNightmares on Elm Street and all the other classics with my mom and dad. Mind you that this was at the age of 4 to 9. Heck I even had a Freddy poster in my room at 5. My friend warren was terrified to spend the night. lolSorry no contribution, but I just wanted to say thanksfor being here guys. Happy Haloween!

Your coordinates are about a length of the US away. Timetothink nailed it in the U2U I was sent. So we have the precise target location. U2U me for info but I want to clear the dissemination of the info with TtT before I release the info.

Yeah, good luck with that. The government or military now own the property. At first they were leasing it off him for lots of money, but he lost ownership of it. Many have tried to find it, but none have that I've heard of.

There's also a second hole nearby on the edge of an indian reserve.

Best of luck in your search. Mel's Hole is my favorite story of all time. Especially the second indian hole where it gets really crazy with that fetal seal creature with human eyes. And that ice9 type stuff that kept sucking up moisture and getting heavier and heavier.

On a later Coast episode, there was a woman who called in about a similar hole in the canadian praries somewhere. THey kept finding small black obsidian objects shaped like the platonic solids around it.
