A young American shot and killed a chef at a hotel in the Red Sea resort city of Eilat Friday, before forces from an anti-terror unit shot the gunman dead, police said.

there is not much in this story but i wanted to say...why call him american, thats cherry picking...as he is as isreali as the rest...call him an isrreali from new york innit lol...semantics

Nothing sinister in this story to be honest. The guy in question appears to a be a Sous chef at the hotel who had recently been fired. Gone in, threatened staff with a gun, barricaded himself in and then fired at the Police - who promptly shot him dead.

No sympathy for him and nothing sinister in Israel blasting him - unless further details emerge!

Wonder how long till someone equates this with an American being angry with Israel for the USS Liberty, 9/11 or some such tripe. Undoubtedly they will not read the entire post and realize he is in fact Jewish.

What?? The Israeli police killed a jew just because he had shot a Palestinian cook?? instead of being arrested and released afterwards as we are always led to believe it's a standard procedure in there?
