Fifty years ago on the 5th October 1962 The Beatles first single "Love Me Do" was released. And as they say, the rest is history.
It was also 50 years today that the first James Bond film "Dr No" was released.
Great days.

wow... That's so crazy to me. I am thankful for keeping all that video and audio alive for me to enjoy.

I love James bond and the Beatles, and I'm under 30, somewhere.

Man, what luck that we didn't lose all of the good American(I know) culture forever, even though those are both British Creations they made a lasting impression on us over here across the way..

Such beauty, and we may waste it all for War..

Thanks for that

It would be interesting to know what peoples favourite Beatles song is. For me it's "A Day In The Life" from The Sergeant Pepper Album.

As for The Bond Films, mine would be "You Only Live Twice"

Your title can be sung as "Sergeant Peppers"! Did you do that on purpose?

It was 50 Years Ago Today
That The Beatles Began To Play.
They've been going in and out of style
But they're guaranteed to raise a smile!

Wow! Fifty years! Incredible! Congratulations to Paul, John, George and Ringo!

I grew up with Beatles. My brother was in a band and my sister and I would sing harmonies with him as he practiced at home. I remember when Hey Jude came out - I thought it was the most beautiful song EVER!

My favorite bond was the one with 006 in the beginning. They're training and 006 is using real bullets, and everyone else is using paintballs, I think.. Havn't seen it in a bit. And then 007 ends up on top of a military truck, and 006 is shooting up through the top and then they fight and I think 007 kills him??

AHH Found it...

"The Living Daylights"
That has always been my favorite since I was like 3 years old. I know I know, but I grew up with hippy parents.

Funny story.. I grew up thinking that was pierce brosnan, so I always defended pierce, but really I liked Timothy dalton haha.. This is a little weird re-learning my childhood, but with the right names this time..

For those in the UK, tomorrow evening BBC 2 are showing "The Magical Mystery Tour". First time it has been on TV since 1979.
