Was America Attacked by Afghanistan on September 11, 2001?

Prof Michel Chossudovsky writes an article in globalreasearch .ca dated October 4 ,2012 titled : Was America Attacked by Afghanistan on September 11, 2001 ? . He is asking why American and NATO troops are still present in Afghanistan. He is asking the justification for waging war on a country of 28 million people.

On September 10, 2001, according to a CBS news report, Osama bin Laden was in Pakistan. He had been admitted to a Pakistani military hospital in Rawalpindi.

The Afghan government in the weeks following 9/11, offered on two occasions to deliver Osama bin Laden to US justice, if there were preliminary evidence of his involvement in the attacks. These offers were refused by Washington.

Concluding Remarks: Eleven Years Later Afghanistan did not attack America on September 11, 2001. The war on Afghanistan was already on the Pentagon’s drawing board prior to 9/11. The US led war on Afghanistan, using 9/11 as a pretext and a justification is illegal and criminal. The US and NATO heads of state and heads of government from 2001 to the present are complicit in the launching of a criminal and illegal war. Invoking article 5 of the Washington Treaty is an illegal and criminal procedure. The (former) US and NATO heads of state and heads of government should be prosecuted for war crimes.

I personally believe that the CIA had A personal grudge with them since the 80's.

How can George Bush and others be charged with war crimes when he and the other elites control the systems that would be needed to bring those charges to fruition?
Im all for it but they have covered their tracks. Anyone who try's to bring a stop to their plans is almost powerless to do so against all of their might and control.

We may have left Afghanistan earlier but then they stumbled upon a Lithium vein which is funny because don't you have to be looking for one to find one?

We obviously still live in the days of pillaging and plunder.

Afghanistan was drugs and lithium.

My guess is many people fail to realize or remember exactly why we are in Afghanistan....

After the September 11th attacks, the US demanded the Taliban turn over Bin Laden. The Taliban actually agreed to do so if the US would provide evidence that Bin Laden was behind the attacks. The US refused to turn over any evidence and invaded. The Taliban, after the invasion, actually agreed to turn over Bin Laden if the US would stop bombing the country... again the US refused.

Fact is, we don't need to be there. We have never needed to be there. This whole war could have easily been avoided, but the US choose war over working within a legal system to find justice. Now here we are, 11 years later, Bin Laden is dead (which was the reason for going to Afghanistan to begin with) and we are still there. This whole war is a farce and anyone willing to look at the facts can see it. WE are the terrorist, not the people of Afghanistan, not the Taliban. The United States Government is the terrorist and we have sacrificed countless American lives for nothing. The Taliban did not have any unreasonable request that I can see. Countries ask to see evidence every day before extraditing another person to another Country. It happens all the time, but the US refused to provide evidence of any crime at all and made a choice to invade another nation instead.

Completely agree! We need to get out NOW. We have NO BUSINESS there and never have. Our people are dying there, killed by the very people we're supposedly trying to help!

Mr. President, bring our people HOME! Not in 2014, but NOW!!!
