It seems this weeks Entertainment Weekly contains a live-tweeting ad on a LCD screen.

2 Editors from Mashable do a tear down and find a working Android OS device. At 10:44 in the video, they make a working phone call with it.

Clever use of marketing, but really creepy.

Wow Creepy. Imagine if there was a camera on that smart device. Amazing yet disturbing. I may have to pick one up and tear it apart.

Makes you wonder if they can give you a free phone in a magazine, how much people that own cell phones are being ripped off when they buy one.

The Chinese are masters of cloning tech. We are in for a treat in the next few years. I remember from an episode of Top Gear, series 18 episode 2, the first mass produced car was a crappy Tut Tut years ago. Today, they make amazing clones of current day cars. Most of them have names that resemble software version numbers. In the next few years.... it will be scary what they can do with out being stopped.

Here is the video.

Yeah -- but why would anyone want to spy on someone who reads "Entertainment Weekly."

If you buy a copy, scream into it really loud to find out.

he CW Television Network is promoting its new lineup of shows with what appears to be a first-of-its-kind print insert in Entertainment Weekly.

The full page advert has a small LCD screen which displays looping video and tweets from @CW_Network.

The ad is powered by a custom-built, smartphone-like Android device with an LED screen and 3G connectivity.

Not every copy of Entertainment Weekly comes with the interactive element – it appears in only 1,000 copies distributed across New York and Los Angeles.
