I had an issue getting my Kindle to connect to the internet last night, even though the computer was going fine and the Kindle said it was connected to the internet.

Also last night, we couldn't get Netflix to load for about an hour and then after it did, it was working so slowly we gave up.

Okay, I just called COX. I got the same message. they said it is seasonal "sun outages" when the earth, sun and satelite align (not the moon) and the sun's noise creates outages. Outages are expected between Oct 1-10, they say.

Yesterday, while I was on the phone with the tech, she tried to explain it to me, just confusing the issue further

It was already seen coming.

No real rhyme or reason that I can discern, though it is much more prevalent in the afternoon hours.

Solar flares, perhaps?

It's 12:09PM here and My internet just stopped working, and it reset my youtube video, wasn't loading anything for about 4 minutes.. It's back working again now.

Maybe it is the sun. Something interesting to note. My wires are all underground..

I've been having internet issues for a couples weeks now. Although I think mine is because we just moved into a mountain area in california and we have satellite internet. We also have been getting really strong winds, so I figured that probably has something to do with it as well.

I See many others are experiencing difficulties as well. I understand NOAA put out a warning but the sun has calmed in the last 24-36 hours. According to Spaceweathr.com the sun has flatlined. I could understand if a CME was on the way but there is nothing at this time. Maybe it is the sattelite allignment. I guess we will see how long it lasts. Thanks for the input everyone.

www.spaceweather.com...

FLATLINED: Solar activity is very low. With no sunspots actively flaring, the sun's x-ray output has flatlined. NOAA forecasters say there is no more than a 5% chance of M-flares and a 1% chance of X-flares today. Solar flare alerts: text, voice

Gotta admit, really wild reading this. We've been having problems with wi-fi lately, and the base internet connection of the cable modem. Maybe some of it is due to these storms.

Thanks for the information!

This could be the first stages of REVOLUTION (who Knows). I had these problems during the first of the year, and they sent out a technician who fixed it. Problem was during our conversation he stated that he was former military and had a chance to check my place out ( and me) pretty throughly. My take on the whole thing is that he might have been Jonas Blane or the "Three Days of the Condor" guy sent to check me out or take me out if things looked suspicous. Paranoid little me huh!!??

I've had some weird things going on with my internet/phone. First of all my windows defender won't load up at all. Never had problems with it before.

My girlfriend text me yesterday around lunchtime about going out to dinner, I text back right away with where to meet. I was busy and figured she was too so didn't think anything about not getting a text back. She calls me after work, kind of annoyed, asking why I didn't answer her text. I told her I did, and while we were on the phone she gets the text, 4 hours later. Then we were out to dinner, and she gets a text from her daughter that was sent that morning.

I dunno, probably nothing, but her phone/service is pretty glitchy (verision) 3 times in the last year her phone has just randomly erased all of her contacts....smart phone...yeah right lol

Sometimes but as far as I can see and know there is no storm on it's way. I believe the NOAA warning was prompted by the eruptions that happened last week on the backside of the sun. The same sun spots are now facing us but have little to no activity. I am no expert but I do have knowledge in these things. Solar disruption being the answer just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe some of our spaceweather experts will chime in with their opinions. If it is not the sun causing these issues then what is. HAARP, Some other technology we don't know about, the earths magnetic field, who know's. One thing is for certain; people all over are experiencing difficulties with their electronic signals.

ETA: it took five minutes for this original post to go through.

I am in SW Colorado, approximately forty miles west of Telluride.

And while I am in Colorado, there aren't any mountain ranges nearby that might/could account for what keeps happening; the La Sals are seventy miles due west, the San Juans forty miles due east. We are on the edge of the Uncompaghre Plateau at an elevation of 5980.

This has been happening to family members and myself for the past few weeks around East Tennessee. Mobile network just drops out, text messages failing every other send, and mobile broadband almost non-existent. Various phones and across Verizon and AT&T.

Pretty much the same here in Ohio. My internet is ok, but the cell phone keeps disconnecting for the past two days.

I've marked the 10th to see if my service improves.

So the same thing is happened in multiple locations across the whole of the states...and other countries ...a test I wonder? There is no sun activity it seems. If they wanted to at some point turn off all out "stuff". Seems some practice runs would be in order.

Maybe we could get a list of locations.

Having the same problems here in Melbourne, Australia. Internet drop outs or extremely slow and while this is going on we have no home phone either "Internet based". Mobile phone seems to only have signal when it wants to....
However, I'm having another issue which has made me very curious.. I have a stereo in my garage for when I'm working on cars. What I found last night is that the stereo would randomly either change volume, change stations or change tracks on the cd... I would put this down to a faulty unit BUT these are separate components "ie separate Amp, Tuner and CD player" only interconnected by rca cable?????
Sorry I don't have a source but I remember reading a thread on here about Earth moving through some Fluff?? Around the end of the year....
