Did Barack Obama Throw The Presidential Debate? Could He Know Something We Don't?

Did Obama hold back...or intentionally throw the debate? I don't believe so.
However, I believe you may be right in postulating as to whether or not, Barack Obama knew on Wednesday night something the rest of us did not...Something BIG and damaging to his campaign that was about to hit the news.

As a result of that knowledge, he was highly preoccupied and distracted.

Apparently, the you-know-what is scheduled to hit the proverbial Obama fan on Monday.

Besides - - do we really need another one of those?

Well - - so far - - none of the so called scandals have panned out.

But - - I'm sure the Right will keep trying.

Whenever stories go no further than "insiders say" - and the like? Well that's a neat trick to avoid libel. Example. I can get my neighbor to come over right now and start discussing anyone or anything - and if I can get my neighbor to make an outlandish statement? BAM I can now say that "an insider tells me" and then use the First Amendment to refuse to "give up" my source.

Unsourced is unsourced and "insiders" can be anyone.

Now if it breaks in a major magazine as the link suggests, and that provides actual data...The it's time to talk. But for now? An insider tells me that I just wasted two minutes of my life reading a blog disguised as a news site.

Our friend "SplitInfinity" has it right on what is currently afoot in this THREAD. His post is almost to the bottom.

Only I think his time frame is a wee off as this will likely happen much sooner than later....and I cannot stress enough just how catastrophic it is going to be. The gulf stream has stalled period...the jet stream is all over the place. Volcanism and earthquakes are on a 200% increase. And if you noticed the storms are getting bigger, badder, and crazier.

The magnetosphere is weak and deteriorating as the solar system hits the galactic equatorial plane causing the whole solar system to heat up.

What he didn't mention in his post is that the earths core is heating up just as the sun is due to high energy photons and protons being emitted from the center of our galaxy. We are in the right position to get bombarded by all of this galactic energy that will speed this thing along all the way to the ground.

Its not just the weather we have to worry about, its the space weather as well.
Very soon we will all be righteously screwed...you think this summers drought was something...just wait till next summer. You think last winters storms were huge, just wait for this winter.

The end is closer than anyone thinks or realizes....and it has the potential to wipe us out. Sudden climate shift and polar wander being the cause. In history it has occurred before, and likely will again...we are on the precipice edge of a event never before witnessed nor remembered. And it could collapse anytime now.

As another person who'd voted Republican from Reagan to Bush Jr. without hesitation, I too changed in 2008 because it became evident the people in my party had lost their minds. Obongo might be leading us on, playing the underdog. Everybody loves an underdog.

If he comes out next debate and crushes it he'll kill Romney in the polls. Not that it matters anyway, Obama is going to be sitting in the white house next term anyway.

You do pose an interesting observation and I must say that it has crossed my mind and that there is something larger than normal on the POTUS' mind.

I rarely watch comedy shows but I recently watched the "Katt Williams: Kattpacalypse"...It was very funny!

There was a point in the show where he humorously mentioned that the president had that look like he wanted to say something big but wouldn't....(Not quoted exactly as presented in the show but I hope you get the point)

I must admit that I have been trying to read signs from the abstract of expressions and the between-the-lines of unusual behavior from our leaders as of late......................

Romney looked like the General Manager of a Lexus dealership.

Obama looked like the GM of a KIA dealership.


Seriously, I didn't understand a word Obama said, his statements always start with a story, like....
Some old lady somewhere can't get her ______ because of the prior administration.

I understood Romney perfectly, especially the part about borrowing money from China to pay for Big Bird.

Also, my real-time thoughts were that PBO has something on his mind that was more weighty than the debate.

I'm uncomfortable.

It's an interesting chain of thought - but I think it's more likely his supporting cast is throwing him under the bus. Nobody but he and his family believe in his "legacy" anymore and I'd be inclined to believe his whole staff would rather he lost so they have a chance in four years to rebuild their own reputations under someone else (say Clinton, although I think she is too smart to subject herself to this mess again).

He has never, from six years ago to now, done his own framing. Without a supporting cast to do it for him, I expect him to continue to implode. Will he come out in the next debate and do better? Almost certainly. Will he come out and put on a winning show? Doubtful - at best I think he won't be so bad that the media can't possible spin it like this last time around. So I expect him to lose the debate but win the media coverage of it.

Nowww.. if I was to throw some credence behind the OP - maybe Obama himself is aware he has no winning Legacy in this game ~unless~ he gives up the reigns knowing it's so screwed up that Romney is unlikely to fix it either. That way he can play any and every "card" he wants to play.. the universal "I told you so" card if you will. Even Carter has managed to make that work enough to keep a public presence. Those two train wrecks can pour slab foundations together. -Mags

The point is, I have to vote Obama because I've only got a choice between two fascists, and one pretends to care. So the ONLY shot you've got of moving the system, is rewarding the pretense. People are not being disappeared off the streets of America because the Oligarchs at Goldman Sachs find that everyone PRETENDING we are in a Democracy is cheaper than paying a lot of jackbooted thugs.

Bear in mind how low PBO's approval ratings were before the OBL kill. The event did have a sleasy feel.

Perhaps, but I doubt he'll ever go to the depths that Bush went. It was quite a feat to get the lowest approval ratings in history and I don't think we will see those again for quite some time.
