Might be a little more then theory. Remember that open mic moment of obama with the russian president, saying something to the effect of: Wait till after the election and I'll have more flexibility.

Haven't had a chanced to watch the whole debate yet. I have to go to work but wanted to quickly post here first.

It's odd that you mentioned Obama possibly "throwing" the debate, because when I saw a news headline yesterday about how "Romney outclasses Obama" or something to that effect, that is exactly the first thing I thought of - without even having heard ANY of the debate.

As you said, Obama is an Oral Rock Star (sorry....
)

There is NO WAY he should have lost that debate. Even if he were wrong on the issues he spoke on, he would have made it sound good enough to sucker everyone just like he did when he won the election.

Also, I don't trust anyone that BLINKS as much as Romney. Seriously. Watch him. It looks very unnatural to me and it's unnerving.

Anyway, gotta run but I'll come back later after having watched the whole thing.

I'll play skeptic on this one. Call me when he starts 'throwing' his speeches and cutting back on campaigning. Right now he's still full steam ahead on the reelection trail.

It's the same with all predictions on ATS: if someone speculates it's going to happen, it won't

Awesome video! I mean I knew about the exclusion but now i know how that exclusion is achieved!
As always only a small percentage of americans know the real deal! This is why it will continue until
kaos and disorder is all that remains of this country! Americans have allowed this to happen and I feel the
price for our ignorance will be as high as can be paid! God help us!

Did he throw the debate? Would you trust a president who did? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!??
Speaking in Johnstown PA, Barack Hussein Obama says he doesn’t want his daughters “punished with a baby” as a result of a “mistake” and uses this rationale to promote teaching his daughters and the young girls in elementary schools around the USA about condoms, birth control, and the whole Planned Barrenhood child sex advocate curriculum. That’s what Planned Barrenhood and Obama and the public school system truly are – CHILD SEX ADVOCATES! Maybe that is the idea behind those who support him.
or his economic policy and czars (scarey word hey kid) we had a certain amount of $ in the $ pool. People complained that we u.s.a. needed more $. Rather than create the opportunity for $ making he simply printed more $. wow that would blow Keynes out of the water excpet I am sure Keynes is dead.
or When his diplomats in Lybya ask for the means to escape "no no no you'lll be fine" when the 16 speical forces who are (oops)were attached to the embassy said we (U.S Government employees) need this particular type of plane to get out of Libya safely-the response to leave Libya, they were told to go to the local airport hunker downa dn await for a commercial jet.
or his choice of churches for 20 years seen here www.tucc.org...
1.Commitment to God. "The God of our weary years" will give us the strength to give up prayerful passivism and become Black Christian Activists, soldiers for Black freedom and the dignity of all humankind. Matthew 22:37 - Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
2.Commitment to the Black Community. The highest level of achievement for any Black person must be a contribution of strength and continuity of the Black Community. I John 4:20 - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother [or his sister], he is a liar; for he that loveth not his brother or sister whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
3.Commitment to the Black Family. The Black family circle must generate strength, stability and love, despite the uncertainty of externals, because these characteristics are required if the developing person is to withstand warping by our racist competitive society. Those Blacks who are blessed with membership in a strong family unit must reach out and expand that blessing to the less fortunate. Deuteronomy 6:6-8 - And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
4.Dedication to the Pursuit of Education. We must forswear anti-intellectualism. Continued survival demands that each Black person be developed to the utmost of his/her mental potential despite the inadequacies of the formal education process. “Real education” fosters understanding of ourselves as well as every aspect of our environment. Also, it develops within us the ability to fashion concepts and tools for better utilization of our resources, and more effective solutions to our problems. Since the majority of Blacks have been denied such learning, Black Education must include elements that produce high school graduates with marketable skills, a trade or qualifications for apprenticeships, or proper preparation for college. Basic education for all Blacks should include Mathematics, Science, Logic, General Semantics, Participative Politics, Economics and Finance, and the Care and Nurture of Black minds. Matthew 22:37 - Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind.
5Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence. To the extent that we individually reach for, even strain for excellence, we increase, geometrically, the value and resourcefulness of the Black Community. We must recognize the relativity of one’s best; this year’s best can be bettered next year. Such is the language of growth and development. We must seek to excel in every endeavor. Ecclesiastes 9:10 - Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might; for [there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
6.Adherence to the Black Work Ethic. "It is becoming harder to find qualified people to work in Chicago." Whether this is true or not,
Good looking CULT material and he was here for 20 years worth of Sundays yeah he is dumb enough to have thrown the first debate and dumb enought o think think that like letting the opposition run up the score in the first 3/4's of the Superbowl is a good idea. second question not likely

The same things have been running through my head, as well. It's just plain weird. It's how you'd expect a fictional president in a movie to act when his family is being held hostage and he's waiting for Bruce Willis or Van Damme to rescue them. I think "fictional" is what keeps coming to mind simply because it was so completely bizarre in every aspect.

My conclusion I came up with to make me stop thinking about it: It was their 20th wedding anniversary and the First Lady worked him a little more than usual. I mean, if you are having your 20th anniversary and you are both in decent fighting shape, you are probably gonna have some pretty epic lovin'.

It's seriously the most realistic scenario I could come up with.

in my opinion, Obama threw in the towel in a way for that debate because he was starting to get huge lead in the polls and the powers that were do not want the people to go all out for one side, they wish to keep us equally divided.

S&F for a well-thought out conspiracy theory.

I'm going with the theory that the whole election is fixed from the beginning, and the debates are like interviews and matches on WWE pro wrestling. In this case, Romney needs to look strong in the debates so that the public views him as a real threat to Obama. If the election/debates make for interesting TV, ratings go up, and Romney's strong showing in this debate certainly is an unexpected, if not interesting, turn.

The Obama vs. McCain campaign/election did huge TV ratings, and the people that own the television industry are the same people that own world politics (NWO, Illuminati, Freemasons, etc.). So these people have great interest in making this election interesting for TV.

When he's reading a prepared statement off a teleprompter, yes. He's Morgan Freeman... just because he can captivatingly read a narration filled with information about penguins doesn't mean he knows jack squat about them aside from what he's handed on a piece of paper.

I did watch the debates along with millions of others and it seems a lot easier for someone to challenge the person in power since the challenger is really not aware of all the knowledge a sitting president possesses.
No matter who gets elected it's for sure they have to tough road ahead. All the gridlock in Washington makes it nearly impossible to get down to business and do the peoples work. I hope that whoever wins finds a way to get past all the childish behavior and start solving problems

I am liking Obama better speaking in this tone and state for some reason. He seems more humble and patient IMO
On another note... If Romney rudely speaks over and interrupts the speaker one more time he should get rusty harpoon thrown at his face.

I think it was a game to try and make Romney look like the bully that he is. And why is Romney trying to make his voice sound like Ronald Reagan? It's so obvious.

All you have to do is look at the presidents hair. That might sound like an odd answer. But if you noticed when he started as president he had black hair, now almost 4 years later its almost all grey. His job is #l1 stressful job on the planet earth. I remember see ing him a few days after he became president and his hair all of a sudden began to turn grey almost over night. Why would this happen? Id say it happened right after he got his first national security meeting. And learned about all the real nasty stuff that goes on in the world. The stuff regular citizens are not privy too.
Also, could be possibly due to the fact we have ruffly 2 months and some days before the 2012 event? yeah I know its been beat to death here on ATS. But what if..he knows something he can't talk about due to national security. What would he say to the american people or the world.
he wouldn't say anything, it would cause mass chaos, all the goverments of the world would fall, and it wouldn't matter cause there would be no place to run to or hide. Could it be that he knows only a fraction of the best trained minds of our time will be sent to the underground bunkers, but the majority of the citizens will have to survive on there own? That would make me grey as well.
Course there is another option, wouldn't anyone being in the #1 stressful job on the planet have an off day, if you were constantly followed by a military officer carrying the "football". This is the case that can launch 20,000 Nuclear missiles, at anytime night or day. That in itself would make my hair go grey within a 4 year period.

So he had an off day, Id say he's earned the off day, and we shouldn't say ill of the man. He does have the #1 stressful job on the planet.

My point of view, a little bit off your subject
Cut the president some slack..

They should be about facts. Too bad Romney didn't present any. As another person who'd voted Republican from Reagan to Bush Jr. without hesitation, I too changed in 2008 because it became evident the people in my party had lost their minds. I think Obama was standing there thinking "this guy's really gonna come out here and blatantly lie about his positions like this?".

My wife and I have noted this on several occasions. As soon as he was sworn in the next time you saw him he looked like someone had run over his puppy. Of course, that could have been the revelation that the Republicans had already drawn their petty line and was going to block any and everything he tried to accomplish, regardless of the effect on the country. But I digress. Almost all presidents seem to go through this metamorphisis virtually over night. They appear defeated from the get go. I personally think Romney would, if elected, come out of that first briefing slobbering and in need of a Depends.

First, putting laughing emoticons and lol's and ha-ha's in a post doesn't make it funny. Second, Romney was in his element, which is slinging bullcrap off the cuff. He's a snake oil salesman. He looks like a snake oil salesman, sounds like one, and acts like one. He flip flops more than anyone I have EVER seen. I thought Newt Gingerich was crazy, but this guy is certifiable.

My fear is that if Republicans win this one, they'll start working on stuff and the democrats will be given the choice of continuing with the gridlock or sucking it up and working with the Reps for the the good of the country. If they do that, which one hopes they would, then the average Fox News viewer, who will be encouraged to buy this scenario, will think that it's because the R's know what they're doing. I work with the public, they are, for the most part, gullible, predictable, and easily fooled.

Anger is now mounting at Mitt Romney’s unthinkable suggestion of putting Big Bird out of work! With headlines like the following cropping up, President Obama’s lackluster debate performance may soon be a non-issue.

Mitt Romney's Big Bird Attack Threatens Thousands Of U.S. Jobs

On Facebook, the character's name was mentioned more times than words like "Obamacare" and "taxes" during the debate.

Toy business experts say that Big Bird and other "Sesame Street" characters are profitable enough not to need loans from China. Hasbro, the toy company behind Muppet Monopoly and Let's Rock Elmo, generates $70 to $75 million a year in revenue from "Sesame Street" properties, estimates Gerrick Johnson, an analyst at BMO Capital Markets.
