It has been shown, that in the absence of stimulus, the mind will project ideas into the 'void'.
As these creatures are perceived in the context of shadow, I believe that they may be illusions of negative space.

As this isn't really assisting in the intended nature of the thread I'm not really going to go in to this much. As I have said before, Your point could explain some of the encounters, but this explanation doesn't cover how these creatures can be photographed.

My apologies. I remember every hair on my body standing up when it happened and it happened out of the blue. Maybe it was my mind playing tricks on me.

Was it fear, or something else causing it? (cold, electric, or something else)

I'll provide an up-dated posting with any new information later today. Thank you for the additional info though.

From my incomplete understanding a rather defining property of shadow people is their fleeting nature.
Negative space phenomena can certainly be photographed and perceived by many at once.
Another example of this, is Jesus on a piece of toast.

Interesting thought. SO are you saying that a chemical inbalance in a persons mind can force others to see and photograph an event? This idea clearly needs it's own thread. If it's true then it can be tested.

Sometime, this is brought about through chemical mechanisms both natural and induced.

I said I'm gonna be late picking her up cause I can't see the road, my buddie said something like you don't wanna be late she will kill you, you better hurry up. Then something said inside the car " don't do that". I was like wtf was that. It was loud. My buddie on the phone said what are you talking about. I said something just said don't do that inside he car, he said I heard that to over the phone. That was kinda of strange.

This was probably someone who has passed over that came back to visit you, or maybe sticking around to watch over you. This spirit apparently loves you very much. Could be someone you shared a past life with also.
The fact your wife didn't feel threatened by it, or any evil presence also suggests this.

The voice you heard in the car was probably your spirit guide, or it could have been this "loved one" protecting you from danger.
My spirit guide has spoken to me very loud when I was driving (and different times), warning me of danger ahead.

but what about if you and others saw the exact same thing at the exact same time... and did not discuss it at that precise moment? Thus there would be no preconceived notion of what was initially seen... Yet this is the conclusion reached by all those involved...

I ask because more than once, while traveling, an entire carload (me and family) of people have seen the shadow people, both standing still on the side of the road and scurrying across it. And this is not always at night either...

As I pointed out, this chemical inbalance could explain some reports. I have had a couple of encounters with these Shadow People, and I don't think that was a manifestation of the mind (one event was seen by another person in a different area of a room.

So while I do think what rom12345 has some merit in some cases, I don't think that it explains away a lot of these cases. No lets get back on topic of what can these Shadow People do?

You said that you and your family has seen them along the road. Did they do anything? are you willing to tell us more about what you saw?

Shadow people are different beings than spirits and ghosts.
According to Amy Allen, the medium on The Dead Files t.v. show, no one knows where these "things" come from. She said when she was four years old one told her to bite into the electrical cord and she could go with them. She did, and it almost killed her. They literally suck the life out of people without their knowledge while they sleep. If you see this things, and notice that you feel tired all the time, or start having health problems, they could be to blame. They are evil... that much is known.

Shadow people along the road....
My cousin called me totally freaked out awhile back telling me she was driving home from visiting her mother one evening. It was just barely turning night...dusk. As she was driving she said this dark figure stepped out in front of her car and she ran right through it. She didn't have time to swerve to miss it. She said she saw it, and heard it make a swooshing noise as it passed through the car right beside her. Her daughter and son were in the car too. They also saw and heard it. They were all freaked out by it. She said she felt it was trying to make her wreck.

From all the stories I've heard, I think these evil beings are doing whatever they can to try to kill people.

"WHY", is still the question.

That's what I was kinda thinking. After reading others accounts of "shadow people" this thing seemed differant.

While I was still in Iraq I told our chaplin about it when he came to do a prayer with us before we went out on a mission. When I told him what my wife seen because I sorta took it as a sign like something was going to happen to me in Iraq. he got a serious look on his face and said let's go out for a ciggerate. When we got outside he said. We don't have anything to wory about, you and your wife a very blessed to have him there(my home) and he is there to keep her safe and comfort her. He said he was always around both of you and probably here right now. He makes his presense known when your going through hard times. I asked who he was he said a angel. He said I know you don't blieve me(because he knows I'm not religous at all and don't believe in the heaven or hell thing) so I don't know what it is

Whatever it was seemed to have emotions. It only would be seen when me and the wife were seperated for a while. Even though it looked like a full grown man it seeded kinda child like like how it would pet my pillow and how it had a temper tantrum when I said I would find someone better and it kn.ocked over my full glass of water.

I'm thinking it was already in that house before we moved there then when we moved in it became attached to us like it thought it was part of the family when I say family I meen my wife, the cat and me we had no children.

But who knows. It could have been anything.

Also the cat never paid it no mind then again my cat is totally strange. He doesn't know if he's a cat,person,dog, or bird. Me and the wife started getting freaked out cause whenever we left the house and came back almost all the lights were on. Then when we were watching tv the light turned on in the kitchen and we were like wtf, out comes the cat and walked over to the utility room where his litter box is and jumped up and flicked the light switch on. He learned how to turn on lights, open the sliding back door to the balcony so he can lay on the chair and watch the birds on the feeder. He made friends with a crow that would stand on him when he was laying down . If me and the wife were in the shower he would climb in and lay on the shower floor and relax under the warm water. The vet even said he was the stranges cat ever, he loved the vet he would jump up on the table and try and talk to the vet.

It was actually a very strange story when we got him too.

Well, about all I can say about shadow people is that they move around, that's all I know for sure about them.

Anything else is pure speculation on my behalf. I will say that around the area I saw one, a guy died shortly after, and then, after he died, I saw another one, possibly the same one a few weeks later go past his door and into the neighbors.

But that doesn't mean it killed him, it just was in the area, and he did not die in the building, he made it to the hospital, just to be as accurate as possible.

Sure I am not shy about sharing my experiences. There have been many times where we have seen them just standing on the side of the road, doing nothing. Just standing there, "watching" us drive by. They don't follow or interact other than "watching". Other times, I have seen them scurry across the road in front of my vehicle. And when I say scurry, I mean like an animal would do. Low close to the ground kind of running. I have never felt that I was to be harmed, and neither has the family member(s) who have experienced this.

Kinda remind me of those shadow guys that take Carl to "hell" in the movie Ghost....

I was recently listening to a C2CAM with a lady that was talking about shadow people and what she was calling "The Hat Man". I was tormented by this hat man figure from the age of around 11 until about 3 years ago when it finally stopped. (I am 33 now).

I was just wondering if any others had encountered this figure as well, and if people think this is the same as the shadow people or not. I had always thought that what I was encountering was a shadow person since that is the way he appeared. Around 6 ft tall, long trench coat, and a top hat, always in darker than dark shadow form.

I don't mind going into all the absolutely frightening things I have lived through for the advancement of knowledge, just want to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
