Lol. Overweight person decides to take on an e-mail in her report connected to National Awareness of Squirrels Month. Posters feel uncomfortable with her comfortably declaring that it is wrong to criticize people because they are overweight, and on TV. Like an idiot, I decide to write about how cute it is that someone named "Badness" has a little Debbie smile for another poster. Squirrels are totally neglected, as the thread dissolves into "bullying".

Question: Given the above variables, how much money do I have?

ETA: I'm coming off as being confrontational and I'm sorry for that. It's just a subject that stings a bit. I realize that being overweight/obese is unhealthy but I feel like it is the overweight person's doctors/family/maybe close friends that should be discussing it with them not the general public.

I can understand that perhaps the person's email was well intentioned, I just feel that unless you are a doctor or someone very close to the person in question that it isn't your place to be counseling them on their health unless they specifically ask you for your opinion.

She didn't really destroy him....it would have been more of a destruction if it was a live conversation between the anchor and the email writer.

She is fat...and she may die prematurely because of it....the email writer indirectly was trying to tell her to lose weight so that her health can improve.

I for one support the email writer. Would I say something like that to anyone? No, not if they were one of my closest friends I cared about.

Even if she could loose weight, who gives a damn? She can express herself in her physical body however she WANTS it's HERE body, free expression - remember that?

Kudos for her response although I find myself wishing she had said that her weight is nobody else's business and that obesity is not a "choice" nor a "habit".
Also that her sense of community responsibility has zero bearing on her physical appearance.

Beyond all that I think she's a beautiful woman.

It shows what kind of world we live in when she becomes a hero for just stating the obvious. The real heroes never get a second of air time. The world is upside down and backwards.
