So WHY wasn't there any U.S. Marine protection at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya?
MANY other U.S. consulates and embassies in other nations throughout the world are guarded by Marines.
We NOW know that there were numerous requests for more security from American diplomats in Libya
...and yet these requests were ignored and denied by the U.S. state department.
We ALSO now know that there were many other attacks on western diplomats in Libya in the months leading up to the tragic Sept.11, 2012 terrorist
attack, where the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was bombed and torched and where U.S. ambassador Chis Stevens and three other U.S. citizens were cruelly
murdered.
Yet, U.S. personnel in Benghazi were instructed to receive 'outsourced' security from local Libyan agencies...which we now suspect may have been
complicit in the 9-11-12 consulate attacks.
So the question remains:
Why DID the state department not allow U.S. Marines to protect our diplomats and U.S. soil in Benghazi?
How about this for a political conspiracy theory?:
The Obama administration has been touting Libya as a great foreign policy success...HOWEVER, knowing full well that there was still great danger to
ANY U.S. personnel in Libya, the Obama state department wanted to go into the November elections claiming that no U.S. MILITARY PERSONNEL (boots on
the ground) were killed in Libya during Obama's successful liberation of Libya.
So, instead, the Obama administration opted for vastly inferior and untrustworthy Libyan 'rent-a-cops' to guard the ambassador and consulate staff. It
was this very outsourced local Libyan security, which may have been directly responsible for the deaths and destruction of U.S. diplomats and
property,...as an 'inside job' has been strongly suspected in the coordination of this terrorist attack.
