Anyone else see Lehrer losing control of the debate already?

Yep. But I don't mind.... makes it interesting how the candidates handle running free.

ETA: Pretty funny that Mitt called out the PBS funding cut

Got an opinion?

Come on and call us and support it

Up until now, Gov. Romney has DESTROYED Pres. Obama

Almost sad to watch

Issues aside...

It looks to me like the Pres is a little rusty on the ole debate skills. He seems to be stumbling at times and looks like he wants to be somewhere else.

Romney is on the offensive and looks prepared.

My only advice to Mitt is to lose the little smirk when Obama is talking.

Obama started off a bit rusty but settled down.

Romney started off confident - - - but speeds up and talks to fast like he is nervous.

Obama, sounds bad because he is human , enough to believe in guilt...

That is the one thing in the indoctrination they could not completely take from him...

He is taking responsability...

Its ok in 4 years another debate will go on, with a protagonist and antagonist as well, going over the same topics...

An awesome illusion to feed the populous...

and Keep them from asking the questions with no answers...

My prediction for the outcome of the debate and the election as a whole:

Goldman Sachs / Monsanto / Council on Foreign Relations: 1
The American people: 0

Same as the last election, and the one before that, and the one befor that, and...

If Stephanopoulos calls this an Obama victory, he should be fired.

Romney did surprisingly well (although my bar was set low to begin with). He looked a bit riled up and twitchy at times, but overall, not a bad preformance (credit where credit is due).

Romney made a strong businessman sort of approach, Obama's job seemed mostly to show that its a empty hull in regards to what he was saying.

Obama was of course the calm type, Romney the wall street yelling type, but both had a strong presence..aka, I am thinking it is a tie with advantage to Romney.

Now, my partisan view is that Obama had more depth due to him actually speaking of facts and numbers and took the wind out of some opposing numbers (the 700 billion). But, presence, Romney had the night on overall assertiveness. So, well done Romney, props.

Now, will it change anything? I think Romneys base got alienated a bit due to a lot of backtracking and tempering down..however, him winning, or even tying, has his base also happy on principle.

*Wades fearfully into the angry political waters*

I watched the debate in its entirety. Please note that I do not support either candidate or party (nor any other) and will not be voting.

My impression was that Romney will likely be portrayed in the court of public opinion as the more articulate, calm, and well prepared of the two debaters on this night. I also noted, with unsurprised sadness, that both debaters made significant points worthy of a good rebuttal, but that their counterpart ignored or deflected them each time this happened, sidestepping them and creating a window to focus on other facets of the topic that put them in an ostensibly better light.

Just my honest impressions. Feel free to disagree (after all, you're the ones voting presumably.) Peace.

*Retreats back to Skyrim to avoid people's consternation.*

Fortunately - - - you don't have control of anyone but yourself.
