People want to come in, piss on the carpet and then expect the board staff to be all nicey nicey about it. Some of them might be but I'm not going to be - anyone who doesn't like the site can click the big red X on the top corner of the screen and not come back. Thats not exactly difficult to do.

Is that a new feature of the website, nefermore? A big red X to opt out of our ATS membership? I thought we had to notify a mod and be escorted out.

All conspiracy writing is subject to analysis.

Above Top Secret is the single greatest body of conspiracy writing, and analysis on conspiracy writing on the web. Probably in the world.

What makes you think that the folks that live and breathe for mysteries and conspiracies would not turn their analysis on to ATS?

What is it about ATS becoming the subject of speculation that agitates you so much?

It seems to me that it would be inevitable that ATS would find themselves in this position.

Sure I would still come here. I am not exactly a trusting person anyway so I can't say that I have ever trusted ATS anymore than I would trust a stranger. Because essentially that is what the internet is, a bunch of unknown strangers. I don't put things out there that I wouldn't be comfortable saying to a stranger on the street. I'm hear mostly to read, observe and get a feel for how others may feel about our world. I admit I'm not a huge participant, but mostly because I see no reason to. My opinion leaks out here and there, but for the most part I have learned that people don't really care about my opinion, they just need a place to speak their own.

Anyone can read, post, observe here. It only makes sense to be reserved or at least a little distrusting of who is running the show.

What I love about threads like this is that people are openly paranoid about who might be reading their stuff and complain about the forum, on the forum they are being openly paranoid about.

Harsh fact No.1 - anything you do online can be monitored. not just on ATS.

Harsh fact No.2 - competitors to the site don't like ATS because they are competitors, and try to discredit it.

Harsh fact No.3 - some people just love to stir crap, for the sake of it. such is life.

Why am I talking about it? Well I love to point out hypocrisy. Its a flaw of mine. Am I riled up about it? No. I'm enjoying the conversation

I've seen it mentioned and I posted from it once and it got 404'd. Wasn't from this screen name though. I made this one because the my first one I realized might have been to close to my name, paranoia? Maybe a little, but hey, I am not insane, my reality is just different from others.

it seems too much like micro managing the surveillance of information...why build and supervise a website when they're already monitoring all the data we transmit. Whether it's a text, phone call, email, or forum, it's all monitored and its not that i don't care but there's nothing we can do to stop it. So go about your lives and know that more than likely even if you spin the wildest conspiracy theory in history and put it up on this site, you won't mysteriously disappear or die.
