Yours and Estranger's debate are quite thought provoking. Based on your comments, and as an extention of the original qustion about becomming excited over Dec. 2012, I would like to ask both of you, as well as anyone else who would like to chime in: should we truly expect a great upswing in suicides? Homicides? Vandalism? Other bad or even good things as people begin to lose their ability to control their anxiety, fears, and/or excitement? Should rational people make plans to spend the day and perhaps a few days enveloping it trying to stay away from the major populace as a sensible precaution to protect themselves from others who may go overboard?

Well obviously this is just conjecture, but there could possibly be suicides, there are certainly precedents for this. I find the scaremongering disturbing for this very resaon. There may be people out there who are vulnerable or scared enough to do this. Even if they don't go as far as suicide, there are people who will become very anxious, I've read reports (don't ask me to find one) of school children terrified of the supposed doom heading our way. It bothers me immensely.

Regarding moving from the major populace, I don't know if there is enough awareness among the general population for a significant number of people to go overboard... I certainly hope that's the case. I guess a lot will depend on whether the media make a big deal out of it.

Personally I think people will be pretty relaxed unless a real threat becomes apparent (or media spin stirs people up), but so far there is nothing to indicate anything out of the ordinary occuring.

I think EXCITED is the word to worry about. Who would be excited about the destruction or distinction of mankind.....regardless of why or reason. I think we have a duty to take care of ourselves.

at the risk of being thought off topic and deleted [it's not, i promise you]
well here's something that needs to be taken into account
much of the doom porn and outright disinfo being spread concerning December 21, 2012 [79 days to go and counting]
may be serving to cover up the fact that the federal reserves lease expires in 2013.

it must never be renewed
and the members of this, probably the most dangerous, and ultimately deadly criminal cartel, must be tried for high treason, or hunted down just like the nazis who escaped from justice post world war II
and most folks need to get their butts into gear, because if you think these monsters are just going to let the lease expire PEACEFULLY [never mind that your children and grandchildren's futures have been bought and sold ALREADY].

well... you'll believe anything.

think about it.

Full transcript here board.freedomainradio.com...

the destruction of this criminal organization and more importantly, the overturning of all it's works will definitely lead to the End of an Age [this has been going on since the days of Mesopotamia BTW] and birth of a New World

Immanentize the Eschaton!

I don't think it's wrong.

I don't really think anything out of the norm is going to happen on Dec. 21 or whatever it is but I'm still anxiously awaiting to see if I'm right! lol. Also anxiously awaiting to see how people will react if nothing big happens! That will be a show!

People will just forget they made any predictions and make up a new doom date or make excuses for why it didn't happen like we see all the time on this site.

If nothing happens at all, will it be the end of people like David Wilcock, Greg Giles, Mike Quinsey, etc.? 2012 is their bread and butter. What will they do, after?

They will just make up more things and forget what they said about 2012 or say something no one can prove like the NWO and aliens had a secret meeting to determine what will happen to earth and they both agreed nothing will happen for now.

Edit: I mean how can someone like this drake guy being so wrong with these huge predictions multiple times and people still believe him and post what he says on every conspiracy thread. I mean you would think Wilcock's would think twice about listening to him and letting him on his show.

I have no idea. Drake still has a pretty big following, even though nothing he has ever said came to pass. That Cobra guy who disguised his voice has been exposed recently, but I bet you that people will still listen to him, regardless. Greg Giles flipped his lid and made some pretty outrageous posts that got the rest of the channeler community up in arms. David Wilcock and Ben Fulford have been pretty quiet, lately. I was starting to think they'd all backpedal as the date draws nearer, and it looks like they are more quiet than usual.

I don't think it's wrong to be anxious or excited about December 21. I know I am—although I don't think anything will happen.

I remember hearing about December 21, 2012 when I was in fifth grade from some prophecy show on TLC. Ever since then I've been waiting for the date to arrive with much anticipation.

Damn, I'm excited about Dec. 21st. I haven't got drunk in years.
I'm not excited about the 22nd though
I'll feel
for many days.

I don't get it I cant talk about Giles because I don't know anything really about him but the others they are idiots. I mean how many times can people like Wilcock and Fulford be wrong without people holding them accountable. These guys aren't making little predictions they are making earth changing predictions and are never right.

I don't usually involve myself in internet forums but I've been directed here to reply to your post. What I can tell you is this:

What you are experiencing (and will experience) is perfectly natural, and everyone feels the same way that you do. The anxiety will increase as we draw nearer to the day: this is because of the UNKNOWN. This can be frightening, and it will effect everyone. We are not only individuals, but we are a unity as well- and we feel each other through empathy. As the date draws nearer this will increase, naturally. Not only our own anxiety, but the anxiety of others will resonate within us. Even people who build the facade of "nothing will happen" still cannot be sure of their constructed convictions- in the end, it is still UNKNOWN. And to men, the UNKNOWN is frightening. What I am saying is that it is certainly not wrong- it is natural. If anything, you would be wrong to deny your anxiety with a facade of certainty.

I can also tell you that- no matter what happens- there really is nothing to fear: it is all in your mind. I know it may sound incredible, but you are merely passing through the process of BECOMING. You are not yet the REAL you- you are in the process of BECOMING the real you. All that is happening to you- the joy, the pain, the anxiety- is just the process of forming you: this is why you may feel imperfect- because you ARE imperfect: just as a house being built is imperfect until it is completed. But you will not always be this way- you will become that YOU which was intended before the dream began.

So, really, whatever you see or experience, it is all just the experience necessary to bring you into being the REAL you: the finished you: the PERFECT you. So, whatever comes, just know that: this is happening only in order to bring you out of the imperfect dreamstate and into BECOMING the you that was planned from day one.

When it is time for a baby to be born, there is great anxiety because of the UNKNOWN- but there is really nothing to fear at all- even though the anxiety will be felt. And felt it will be.

Just saw your post and specifically honed in on your idea to document the surrounding days before and after. For many years, I have made it a point to gather a first print newspaper for major news stories, beginning before George the First went to war and continuing today. I take those papers, seal them in an anaerobic bag for posterity, and someday will give them to my kids to either look at or maybe sell if they have any value.

Anyway, if you would consider any assistance, I would love to contribute to your commentary during that time as it becomes nearer and nearer. I understand if you prefer to go it alone, but there may even be others with great insight who could make tremendous contributions. Let me know if you have an interest in teaming, and if not would you mind if I asked the general membership at ATS if there are some out there who would like to team up for a special first hand recording of history in real time as it unfolds? There may be a best seller in there somewhere. ATS definitely has the talent.

Thanks for the consideration.

If there is some coincidental event on or close to that date, such as a major earthquake, volcano eruption, attack by an enemy, then this could cause those who are already looking for something to happen to be pushed over the edge. I guess that is along the lines of the "self-fulfilling prophecy" scenario. There could be panic and suicides, which will not be abated until things calm down and people realize this was just a common disaster and not the end of the world.

Things are on the edge of something big, and people are concerned. I don't think there is a way to say what date things are going to blow, but it will likely happen sometime if things do not settle down. The economy, international relationships, the instability of the earth, events with the sun, and everything else are reaching a boiling point.

But there is NO way it will be December 21st.
It just absolutely CAN NOT.
Because... that is my birthday, and it would be really, really rude of the world to end on my birthday.

It's not wrong to think something will happen on December 21st. This is the warmest year on record, we had the worst outbreak of West Nile on record, the drought has affected the most states on record, etc...It seems we have broken a lot of records this year.

The world may not end but may end AS WE KNOW IT. What does that mean? I don't know. But we have Israel and Iran ready to pounce, Turkey and Syria bombing eachother, massive protests around the world, the Benghazi attack that killed 4 people, and the very real possibility of World War 3 around the corner. Another war with our technology can definitely alter our planet.

Or we could have another financial collapse, one MUCH worse than 2008.

I anticipate something will happen. Scared? Yeah, a little.

I suppose it's normal.
I've been plagued with increasing anxiety all year, and I don't even think anything will happen. I suspect someone might do something big and use the date as a coverup, but that's just a theory. So, it doesn't make any sense.
Maybe I am sensing fear and anxiety from everyone around me, and it's affecting me subconsciously. If so, I hope it all goes away when the 22nd arrives.

We cannot guess what may happen tomorrow, no point in being anxious about what lays beyond the veil of time. No point in worrying about things you cannot change.

You must have never truly experienced the evil of man, that or you're frightened that you'll be one of those who die. lol If you had, then you'd be singing to a different tune. Why is it so difficult for you to accept that there are people out there who have made their peace with life and are ready for the end? Maybe your fear of death is so great that you have no room for anything else? Or maybe you've never been close to death and survived? I have many times, and every single time, I've survived and I have been devastated because I didn't want to have to keep fighting every single moment of every day just to survive.

A culling needs to happen to a species from time to time to dispose of the weakest and most useless members of the herd and humans are no different from other animals in that respect. We've had a chance to live good lives and make this beautiful planet our home, but we've done everything we can to destroy it in the name of making our lives easier.

We don't deserve this planet and we don't deserve to survive because in the long run, we'll never change.

Again, I say this because it's true, not because I don't like people and also because I've seen both the very worst and the best of society throughout my lifetime and know without a shadow of a doubt that the worst outnumber the best by a thousand fold. It's sad, but it's how it is and to claim otherwise is living in a fantasy.

Apologies to the OP for hijacking the thread a wee bit.

Rev

@revmoofoo : I can understand and sympathize with almost every word you are saying here..

I think, in general, most people on this planet only want to keep the HOPE high,..and "that's all it matters" for them.
they actually -deeply inside- won't probably even care (nor bother) about the pain of other people,
not even to listen fully to the painful stories of other person/people,
and thus instead just too quickly to spout out some ignorant, immature, naive, cliche, and even -in a way- irresponsible comments like "oh don't worry, everything is going to be OKAYYY! just keep living your life man! all problems will eventually go away! be merry, just enjoy the beer!" etc etc,...while most of these type of people usually are so ignorant to the BIGGER-picture of things, in this Life !

therefore, it's not only the "stupidity" of humans that what I hated about in our species,
but sadly, it's also their sheer "IGNORANCE" that I also hated the most!
too many, and I'll repeat: FAR too many people (humans) are too damn 'trapped' in their own little "comfort zone" very limited box in their daily lives, that they are almost entirely oblivious to what happened to the BIGGER-world surrounding them! (ie: politics, economic, cultural, and globally).

as they say: "Ignorance is bliss" ,...but unfortunately they forgot to include the next important statement: "but Ignorance is NOT the real truth!"
