As someone pointed out, a snort of good strong smack will kill a person. Especially if they aren't regularly using.

In my opinion, Jim unraveled. I simply look at him to know this. 27 is SO young to be looking like that.
Edema, puffy face, sunken eyes, and the legal dope he loved is hard to quit. Pour enough into any vessel and it will crack.

He lost the thread of youth, and used adult poisons to dissolve whatever hidden threads were remaining in his flesh.
That's like trying to find 'the Lord', while praying to Jesus, in a casino.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but it looks like this simply died out, and there is a lot of wrong information I have seen that I would like to clear up.

This is simply not true. Morrison was the primary lyricist, but Light My Fire is the song that ignited the band into stardom, this did not "reverse their policy" on crediting the whole band, as this was from their first album, . The first time this happened was on the album 'The Soft Parade'. This was the point where Morrison really didn't want to sing a lot of Kriegers songs. You can actually hear the differences in their songs, Krieger was embracing the use of the horns and strings in his 4 while Morrison stayed to the sound of the previous records.

Jim did NOT have an "Anti-Drug Policy" and it's ridiculous to think so. In fact most of the first two albums were written when we was living on a roof of an abandoned office building in L.A, spending his time writing and consuming copious amounts of L.S.D.

Prior to that, when he attended UCLA as a film student, he met a man named Felix Venable (who in himself had a mysterious past) Jim looked up to this man as a mentor and hung around him a lot, Felix knew plenty of Poets and had a lot of Beat Wisdom that mystified Jim. It was here where Jim started really drinking and using drugs (Felix was a Speed Freak, but introduced Jim to L.S.D and of course the lovely Mary Jane).

Even back in school Jim was of course always trying to Provoke people. At one point, when Felix, Jim, and another Film student Phil O’Leno went out to the Desert in Mexico on a Road Trip, Jim and Felix returned and started telling people they killed Phil, as he had not yet returned.

There has been a lot of talk calling Jim a junkie and all that, but Jim was actually opposed to HARD drugs. He may have fueled Pam's habit, but he himself, was fine with grass and alcohol, with occasional dabbling in Cocaine, now it is possible he was given heroin in place of coc aine and he mistook it as such, but I digress, as someone posted before, his trusted body guard and drinking buddy Tom Funches they hated the stuff (Heroin) and stayed away, and this is the guy that was hired to keep Jim out of trouble, but eventually ended up becoming close friends.

I doubt as Jim was clearing up his act, he thought "Hey, what should I do to become a better and freer me? Oh I know, I'll snort Heroin in the bathroom" doubtful.

On the genius qualification, what makes a genius? Here is the official definition: exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability.

Now Jim Morrison had an IQ of 149 and scored well on the SAT with a 528 in math and 630 in the verbal.

This is from a guy who often questioned teachers and caused a lot of trouble in school.

When he graduated, instead of asking for a car, like most teenagers, he asked for the collection of Friedrich Nietzsche in its entirety.

After, he attended classes at St. Petersburg (junior) College, soon transferred to Florida State University, where he studied art and psychology. It was here he was in his first film, and this sparked something in him,

After his parents denied his request to switch to UCLA to study Film, he hitch hiked his way there. At UCLA he did graduate with a Bachelors in 1965.

This is just some insight behind the man known as "The Lizard King" which believe it or not, he did not start calling himself, the news outlets at the time branded him as such, due to the way he moved, and danced around on stage, he simply liked the sound of it and adopted it.

Unfortunately, I see a lot of the people who are not a fan of the man, and the music, look only at the surface to make quick judgments, but Jim was an incredibly deep, mysterious individual, to the point where his fellow band mates gave up on trying to decipher a lot of the lyrics.

As far as conspiracies go, Jim Morrison is definitely worthy of one, whether you like him or not.

As for the popularity coming from the rebellious youth, Jim wanted to send a message, he wanted people to see something, and he felt he could take it upon himself to show it to everyone. This is what made him passionate in the underground scene before fame.

Eventually his fans all heard 'Light My Fire' and that was the song everyone would always request, (Sometimes they would request it AGAIN right after they finished playing it for 15 minutes) The "Teenybopper" became the main fanbase, and this really bothered Morrison. This is when he started to hate what he was doing.

This post has been all over the place, and I apologize for that, but another thing I wanted to touch on.

If you feel that The Doors are 2nd rate, or weren't a huge influence to tons of music to come you are simply ignorant.
Each album they produced (skipping post Morrison albums) went Platinum, tell me that's not impressive.

Jim was powerful enough during shows to incite riots, bigger than any band at the time, there was nothing like an early Doors show, it was some powerful stuff.

Anyways, I am getting way off track here, I just wanted to revive this dead thread, and give a little more insight.

As far as this conspiracy goes, I believe he could have easily faked his own death and could really be anywhere. The inconsistencies are endless.

Is Dr Max Vasille even a real person? Has he ever been seen or photographed? I haven't been able to turn up anything.

Jim Morrison loved word play including of course anagrams ("Mr Mojo Risin").

Dr Max Vasille could be an anagram for something but I can't really figure out what.
You can make "admiral" or "admirals" out of it but it still leaves a V, X and L which could be
some kind of Roman numeral. His dad was as Admiral, one of the top brass responsible
for the Gulf of Tonkin.

Back then it was much easier to disappear from the world. A complicit coroner and a trusted, reliable cohort (Pam)
could be enough to have pulled it off. Maybe even Densmore. He's the only one of The Doors that consistently says he's dead.
He was the last member to allegedly have spoken with him prior to his disappearance. Covering for his friend?

Maybe they didn't want anyone to see the body because murder would have been obvious, such as bullet wounds or severe beating. Perhaps if the overdose
stories were true, the culpable suppliers of the drugs feared they'd be crucified for killing a rock star when an autopsy showed the drugs in his system.

However Jim died, or if he staged his death, Jim the rock star is gone forever. If he staged it he obviously didn't
want anything to do with that life or that person anymore and doesn't want to be found. In that sense he's dead
to fans any which way you look at it.

If he was murdered by the establishment, occultists, jilted lovers, or street scum they should be brought to justice if possible.
