wow Obama did something right for a change
no land should be sold to the Chinese at the moment. the reason is rather simple. currently china is playing games with a good chunk of the pacific
nations. one of the excuses they use is "we owned it once upon a time, therefore it belongs to us". so just think years down the road (china tends
to take the long view of things), oh we own that land so we can put a military base on it if we want. not to mention of course a TALL wind turbine
would be a great spot to mount surveillance equipment to spy on the navy installation, and china is well known for their spying and theft of top
from what i see is china is playing "stepping stones" in asia. they claim the spratly islands belong to them as it is in the "south china sea" and
therefore it MUST belong to them. give them that and next they will claim the next bit of land as being in their sea zone and therefore it is also
theirs, repeat until all the pacific is theirs. would they try the same thing with land they "purchase" in the states? "well we own this part so
logically the rest is ours as well, after all we have to protect our interests"
no, no land should ever be sold to such an untrustworthy country. it is more than bad enough they own a sizable chunk of the US debt. if we were smart
(and i know it is becoming next to impossible), we would cut off a trade with this rouge nation. why are we so willing to buy everything from a rather
potential enemy such as this anyway? nothing like paying for their military build up.
