Hmmm... weird story. Yet another entire family annihilation. Seems to be rising in popularity. Does anyone happen to know how many contracts his company might have recently lost... I think it might be interesting to keep tabs on that. I know the defense contractor I had worked for has lost many potential contracts and laid off the majority of their people.

I was told their PTSD contract might have gone out the window, which in my opinion had nothing to to do with PTSD but then again i also know that if you watch Fox news long enough you will see a PTSD program asking for donations. If the funding for programs like that were cut back, it doesn't surprise me to see a fund raiser but to see it on Fox in between news raises an eyebrow in light of all that i have just learned about this issue.

There's mental health issues in almost every family.

I find it VERY disturbing that this family friend is not giving the usual "I'm shocked, just shocked... I knew so n so was very heated and enthusiastic about current political issues and there is mental illness in his family but I never expected this.

why? because you don't usually hang out with people who you think could kill their whole family, but this friend talks as though they know the exact reason all this happened. I'm not saying they were in the know about any foul play. I'm saying they sound like a conditioned parrot whether they are trying to or not.

what if something was going on between him and his wife that they didn't advertise to friends and maybe it was even fueled by his political rages, but what if the murder suicide actually just started as a fight that escalated.

This is not the same thing as dealing with grief of a loved one and thinking about suicide... this makes no sense. this is cold blooded murder of your own children because you think they might have to struggle as much as others in the world. If he had lived, I highly doubt they would let him off as a loon and I'm not buying this excuse that he just up and went nuts. I think there may be more triggers than what we can see.

I really hate to bring this up but you do know that if there is no massive war to delve into, there is no need for this inflated defense budget. what would the world strongest and most high tech military do without it's inflated defense budget? It would lose jobs, that's what... but that's how we prioritized.

America was meant to be the protector of the old world money which is attached to the hip of the war machine.

There is something beyond strange about this.

I'm not ready to claim it was mentally triggered just yet because it really makes the Obama haters look like a bunch of psychopaths, but something just feels very weird about this story.

I'd still like to know about those contracts.

ok, I just want to post something i find strange about this company which i understand is immense but i am reading about it's multiple scandals and ties to politics and came across this quote in wikipedia

U.S. State Department investigators found that Litton Industries, a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman, provided portions of the computer source code of Air Force One to a company in Russia in 1998. Northrop Grumman agreed to pay a $15 million fine for 110 violations, occurring between September 1998 and November 1998, of the Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The ITAR violations centered around guidance and navigation system interface information unique to Air Force One.[66]
Additionally, documents filed by the State Department state that between 1994 and 2003, Northrop Grumman failed to notify the U.S. State Department about the computer guidance systems also being transferred to Angola, Indonesia, Israel, China, Ukraine and Yemen

whatttt?

Air Force one? How does a mistake like that get made?.... repeatedly?

I'll try finding the information rather than discussing it... i just find that a little odd. I definitely want to read more details on that! That one might not even be the most shocking.

im sorry for making light of the situation, what this apparently mentally unstable person did was terrible.

say what you will but plenty of people on the far right make moronic statements everyday, ted nugent = perfect example. not every far right republican that makes crazy statements is crazy, thats the scary part.

Good points. Guy goes nuts kills his family and ATS blames FOX news. No personal accountability it's always someone else's fault. This thread is embarrassing.

Yea, he was obviously a racist ditto-head.

no, no, no.... I'm just reading about his companies scandals.

This is a HUGE defense contractor and I attest that even working for a small defense contractor is like trying to work in a militarized nuthouse.... so I was curious. About both current contract cutbacks in defense and their multiple scandals... 325 million dollar payout because they refused to file their own employees report about satellite components they made for the USAF were defective. That just seems extremely careless and whacky. 26 virginia DMV computer databases they maintain go down without explanation but with the admittance that records might be lost. How? Sure it sounds like it could just happen as a "thing" I guess but with how they do back ups for the DMV systems... you'd almost have to be trying to lose the data in my opinion.

And the answer is "an investigation" Uh...no, you had somebody fix it... what happened? The ones who fixed it identified because they fixed it, now what was the problem? And you may have lost SOME data, but not entire databases... possible but it would be more likely to loose complete sets of data.

And Where? VIRGINIA.

I'm sorry, that's just weird.

Fox news is far from innocent but blaming them is kind of funny when we are talking about it on about on ats when everday there are 100's of threads about obama this, obama that, martial law in a few weeks, obama gonna rape your kids, or a false flag attack is near. How do you know he didn't read infowars or almost any other alternative news website? It wouldn't be the first time someone did something stupid after reading those sites. It's sad he went to such a extremes and had mental heath issues but alot of people are very scared for the future and even something as stupid as 2012. Times haven't been good for awhile and alot of people are very scared I hope this is last time I hear about hurting themselves due to obama or 2012 but I doubt it.

Of course we are being manipulated by the media, we all(should) know this. The sad thing is, people are so deeply confident in the tv that they cant be told otherwise. I consider myself lucky, if i hadnt joined the military, id be another one of those people being "programmed" by television beleiving everything. I learned at a pretty young age that things arent actually the way they are in the world. These days, theres nothing i wont have second thoughts about.

The fact is when you turn on the TV or radio you have a 24 hour stream of doom porn being broadcasted at you that even if you aren’t sick it can affect your wellbeing. The narrative being broadcast goes well beyond realism and in many cases they are spreading outright lies just a couple days ago Rush had reignited the death Panel narrative with full fury.

People like this man are vulnerable to such things I don’t feel that expecting media stations to tone it down is asking too much. It is quite sad reading some of the replies on hear quite sad indeed. The question still remains if this could have been prevented.

so, I am bewilered and aghast at this dilemna.
What is crazier, I mean bat#, I think I am a fried egg kind of crazy.

Someone who kills their family over fear of who will be elected?
Or someone that believes that is the cause?
Or WORSE YET?
Someone who believes that a network news agency is to blame?

Dang if there are those here that actually believe this stuff. Believe it enough to sell it and get this.....many more jump in and believe it and sell it too! Really! I kid you not!

Now can we have a sing-a-long?
"I'm a little tea pot, short and stout..."
