You will want to TRY THIS.. How smart is your right foot?

I don't have a problem doing it, but I can usually do things like that without any problems, like making circles on your stomach with the right hand while you tap your head with the left and change it to tap the stomach with the right hand and make circles on your head with the left.

Ohhh....I was doing that perfectly until you suggested I switch it up, then I was all circles and pats and felt a little woozy

As for the foot...easy peasy.

So now what? Does that mean the interent thinks I'm a genius?

I just did it. All it takes is will power.

This is much like how pressure points work. Your brain can only process so much information, then becomes confused.

If you touch three certain pressure points in quick procession and you will collapse because of something called a neurological overload.

Interesting. I can't do it with my right side unless I really sloooooow down and concentrate. yet I have no problems switching to my left side to do this. Weird. I'm right handed. Does that mean anything. Can anyone do it on their left side?

I have no problem doing it either...

i can do it fine. i tried drawing counter clockwise spirals and it still didnt work.

i chalk it up to playing drums for years. you learn multiple limb independence playing.

I'm in a hurry so I just read the first page, so if this explanation has come up before me, ...sorry.

I believe it has to do with your spinal cord. You begin the experiment by sending a message down to your foot to move in a certin direction. Then you interuppt that signal the second you conciously send a signal to you hand(which its nerves are further up the spinal cord, hences they receive messages before your feet.)

The reason I believe people are able to do it very slowly is, they are actually switching their focus back and forth between their hand and foot. giving short burst of directional information to each. The appendages continue moving for a short time while the person is giving the other direction to the other appendage.

Make sense?

Hahahaha this is so hard to do but its not impossible.

To me its amazing how complex humans are, and how little control we have over ouselves.

Hmm... I didn't have much trouble.

This is like rubbing your head while patting your belly. Its hard and your two hands want to be going in the same direction.
