Matt Damon’s newest movie “Promised Land” is about an O&G salesman, Matt Damon, swooping down on a struggling small town in rural Pennsylvania to convince them to make a deal with the devil.

But some people might find it interesting to know where Damon went to get funding for his movie

A new film starring Matt Damon presents American oil and natural gas producers as money-grubbing villains purportedly poisoning rural American towns. It is therefore of particular note that it is financed in part by the royal family of the oil-rich United Arab Emirates. …

While left-leaning Hollywood often targets supposed environmental evildoers, Promised Landwas also produced “in association with” Image Media Abu Dhabi, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media, according to the preview’s list of credits. A studio spokesperson confirmed that AD Media is financing the film. The company is wholly owned by the government of the UAE.

I’m not saying that Damon wouldn’t have made his agitprop had the Arab not been involved or that the message would be significantly different, but its interesting to see who’s behind the PR campaign against domestic natural gas production and what their motives are.

There is so much natural gas coming production coming on line in the US that prices are low and supplies are well above consumer/industrial/utility demand. This opens the possibility of the US becoming a natural gas exporter of some significance as well as this technology allowing other nations in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia to expand their natural gas production by an order of magnitude. Needless to say, this would not please OPEC and the Russians who have a stranglehold over many nations energy needs.

Good for Matt Damon! I live in Pennsylvania and am HIGHLY OPPOSED to fracking. "We" have water that ignites. Fracking has been tied to earthquake activity. Some places have already banned fracking due to the earthquake connection! Military psy-ops have been used in an attempt to get people to accept fracking (Why is this necessary if all is above board, hmm?). Laws have been passed in PA whereby if someone become ill due to fracking chemicals THE DOCTOR IS NOT ALLOWED TO SHARE THIS INFORMATION with the patient (Again, if all is on the up-and-up, why would this be necessary?)
Here's my honest opinion: GD the low-life scummy politicians who allowed this BS to occur!

Three days without water and one dies...all the money in the world won't change that fact. IDIOTS!
