Why would anybody in their right mind vote for Romney?

Oh, right, I forgot, because you think Obama and Romney are playing for two different 'teams.' Then again, it's probably something as simple as the fact that you are, indeed, racial bigots. How does anybody even justify a decision between Obama and Romney? Person X, "Hmmm, which one is lighter skinned?"

I'll even go as far as to say that it seems like Romney's entire candidacy is solely there for Obama's benefit. A juxtapose between moron and intelligent. Romney is an ideological "shapeshifter" (lawl). He'll bend his beliefs for that of his audience. If it came down to it, he'd probably tell Pro-Choice voters that he supports women's abortion rights.

Think about it. The PTB won't instigate a situation without having entire control.

Political commentary by Rolling Stone Magazine?? Okay ..

I think Romney always known that he can't win and that he's just a republican place holder for the election. So ... him knowing that he's just a place holder and not a real contender ... my guess as to his 'real agenda' would be to place himself in some kind of higher position in regards to business and his own income level AS A CIVILIAN NOT AS POTUS. His own business career .. not anything to do in DC.

All REAL contenders have national agendas. Obama has an agenda. Bush43 had an agenda. Hillary has an agenda. Chris Christy has an agenda. Romney? I think it's all Romney-focus'd .. not national focus .. because he knows he can't possibly win.

I dont know if I got across what I'm trying to say or not ....

Between now and November 6, 2012 there will only be more bad news for Obama.

He will hide behind David Letterman and then give his concession speech.

I hear they are really looking forward to moving to Oahu in January 2013.

It's a beachfront estate! He got it on sale! Only $29,000,000!

Seriuosly ... dude ..

1 - it's not 'all over' until November.

2 - Obama is ahead in the electoral map polls. It's true that the only one that matters is in November, but the fact is that Obama is ahead at this time.

3 - Even Carl Rove says Romney is going to have a very difficult time winning. Romney was a very poor choice for the republicans to go with. VERY poor.

4 - The press is on Obama's side. Even someone skilled and capable like Chris Christy would have a hard time fighting the libral bias in the press, let alone Romney who hasn't got a clue as to what to do with it all.

I agree.

He sees the country as the next corporate takeover, and the taxpayers as the employees who are going to lose their jobs. It's what he knows. He'll make a ton of money.

Not to say Obama's a better alternative, mind you...
I have no use for that *characterization omitted* piece of *expletive deleted*, either.

The country leaned far left in the dark age of the Obama/Ried/Pelosi era.

To level the boat to center, we need to lean far right.

It's why you have the pendulum effect. It's why history repeats itself. It's why 'change' causes angry backlash.

However all presidents go to center after they're briefed. Obama wasn't as radical as he promised, and Romney won't be as radical as promised either.

Don't blame a level playing field on taxes as bad for the poor, blame Fed QE and government meddling in companies for stealth inflation of necessities. When taxes are high, companies shrink and jobs are lost. When QE inflates necessities of life, the number of poor increases and the poor have less money to invest in education and savings.

Why not? It's not just a magazine for musicians and artists. They represent a generation and ALL of the concerns we have. IMO, the 1960s (and Vietnam) brought young musicians and their fans into politics and they've been working hand-in-hand ever since. They have a long and well-deserved reputation for standing up for the people who are opposed to government control of the people. Rolling Stone Magazine is an excellent place to get a unique political perspective.

Absolutely! Everyone has one.
It's all a matter of what agenda you agree with.

But I think Romney really DOES want the position. He doesn't want the job, which works well for him because he wouldn't be doing the work, anyway. He wants the position, the office, the prestige, the power... He wants it on his resume.
And I think he'll do just about anything to get it. He doesn't want to be seen as a failure. Unfortunately, those doing the work will be many of the same ones who did the work during the Bush administration.

We haven't yet seen the last of Romney's efforts to win this particular "game", come hell or high water.

That's why I'm not relaxing. I won't relax until Romney gives his concession speech on Nov 6th.

I know he has plenty of money ... but I think he's in it for something like that.
More money ... or to position himself better in the business world .. or something ....
But on a 'national agenda' level .. I dont' think the guy is a team player (republican team)
and I dont' think he really cares one way or another about much of anything in order to
have a high powered national agenda.

I still don't know if I'm saying it right ... but you kinda get the idea ....(I hope)

That would make them libertarian ... but I see them as left wing. But whatever. I actually like the music related articles they have. It's not a problem ... I was just surprised to see them quoted is all ...

But I think Romney really DOES want the position.

Really? Okay. I'm just not seeing it. I'm seeing a guy who doesn't stand for much of anything and who is just a willing place holder for the republicans until Chris Christy is ready in 2016. The guy has to know he can't win. What reason could a guy have for running a race that he knows he can't win .. except to benefit himself in some way on the other end. That's how I see it.

Heck, we both could be right. For all we know he may figure that if he wins he can do something big and if he doesnt, then he'll benefit personally. Either way he won't be in office in January 2013.

(BTW ... Finn who? Team Brody!

I do not not get this. Every four years Americans elect or believe that they elect one of two choices of rich, completely out of touch personages from two political parties. I believe that the two choices presented have been previously selected and annointed by a very select few, could be Bilderbergers or it could be some group evern more exclusive. Interestingly enough the genetic lineage of the two chosen just happens to be related to leaders of the past. (But, I digress into conspiracy theory)

Four years after the election, the population becomes disallusioned with the chosen personage and his/her political party and at the next election they vote in the other party which consequently after four years they, the people, are again disappointed and in turn support the return of the group that they originally replaced and somehow expect that something will change as if by magic I suppose.

So you vote out the Democrats after dissatisfaction to repace them with Republicans who you vote out after dissatisfaction to replace with the same Democrats you were dissatisfied with who will once again prove incompetent whom you shall replace once again with Republicans who are equally incompetent....like the dog that eats its own sh$t the cycle continues.....FOREVER... Don't you see a problem here folks?

Mitt Romney's real agenda?

He doesn't have one...

He has a purpose--to displace any other republican candidate with a chance to beat Obama (read Ron Paul)

Then become the straw man for Obama to not down. Romney never had any supporters.
Romney's entire base is made up of Anti-Obama voters.

We are getting Obama for four more years...the right hand has already secreted the device in pocket....
and now the left hand is simply displaying Mitt Romney for distraction

This is insanity at full force.

The US is still trying to recover! Yet we have perhaps 2/5 of the population cheering to return to the same failed policies which took the country to financial disaster. How is that possible?

Obama certainly isn't the greatest president or anything, but he did do some things which kept us from going full depression. Perhaps we should have gone full depression, just to wake people up!

Money doesn't trickle down. Clean air and water are more important than profits. Deregulation only leads to out of control greed and the destruction of the middle class. The debt will not be reduced solely through cutting safety nets.

Those are the right's beliefs. How is it possible that after a near collapse, we still have people sticking to their guns and swearing that we are in this current state because of Obama? Are they willingly ignorant, or just misinformed.

This country is at its strongest and healthiest when it has a massive middle class which spends. Electing Mitt Romney will do the exact opposite.

Clearly the economic decisions made from 2008-2012 have failed miserably and were the opposite of what should have been done. Why would we want to return the failed choices and decisions of Geithner, Romer, Ried, Pelosi, and the lot? They dug a massive and hopefully not irreversible hole that many presidents will have to inherit and fix.

Returning to the failed policies of 2012 is insanity at full force.

Most Americans have clearly forgotten about the November 2010 election.

- We live in a society of chronic amnesiacs. -

-------------

President Mitt Romneys real agenda:

Restore Americas AAA credit rating.

Give our children a stronger America. Reduce the $16 trillion national debt.

Reform the Big 3: Social Security - MediCare - MediCaid

Grow the GDP at 5%.

Restore America with American Exceptionalism.

Reduce the unemployment rate to 4%. (Socialists run back into the bushes)

MAybe, but he has absolutely no idea as to how to accomplish any of these things.

Reduce the national debt? He won't even release his plan on how he plans to reduce taxes with "zero deficit impact", as he promises he can do.

Both sides are saying they'll reduce deficit spending. NEITHER side is even discussing paying off the debt yet, just the speed at which the Government is adding to it every year.
