At any time, you can explain how verifiable data is fake.

Unemployment rate is improving, stock market has fully recovered, housing is recovering, GDP has been positive for 12 quarters.

At any time, you are free to show some real world data that shows this "fake recovery" of yours.

It seems like it would be so easy to prove, because you seem so sure of yourself. If I was so certain about something, I would definately have facts standing by to back up my position.

I would really like people to read the article, from Rolling Stone magazine. If we vote Romney in, we're going to be headed for Sharia Christian Law, where religion makes our laws and women (and other minorities) are treated like second class citizens!

It's been happening since the GOP took the house in 2010 with the Tea Party whack-os. The right is moving further and further to the right. I think that's one reason Romney's will lose. The country is wising up and realizing that the lip-service the GOP pays to "freedom" is just that. They want freedom for themselves (beezer, you've proven to me that you want YOUR freedoms, but not other people's - give me a break!). They want freedom to discriminate and control other people and make them "behave", which is ANTI-freedom.

So the polling methodology is fine, when you agree with the results. But they are "skewed" when they show the person you support losing.

This is called being biased and/or confirmation bias.

Republicans in Congress have repeatedly put ideology before creating jobs.

This is the mantra of both parties. They both put ideology before actually doing something will truly help Americans who are struggling. But when it comes down to it, their ideologies are the same. They both want bigger government. They both support the increase in the military industrial complex. The increase in the security apparatus. Increase in imperialistic wars. They both employ Keynesian economics. They both leave the economy up to banking and economic "experts" like Alan Greenspan, who after serving for multiple decades under both Democrats and Republicans admitted in front of Congress that the ideology he held for all of those years, an ideology he defended at every turn, was unequivocally wrong. These people do not care about helping out, they care about having things their way, or the highway. They are children.

There is no difference between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney when you get down to it. On the outside, they have differing rhetoric. But they both serve the power centers of the United States of America, not the people. How can anyone not see this? It is right in front of your face.

Your idealogical, partisan thinking blinds you from the reality that some conservatives (whom no longer identify as GOP) will vote Pres. Obama this November. Wisconsin is a great example of that...

Same reason the polls don't use party weighting close to an election...cuz middle of the road GOP no longer call themselves GOP after getting a close look at their nominee. To use party weighting would be faulty.

Just like at the voting booth...this close to the elections, raw numbers - less party weighting tell the tale.

After reading through the numerous post in this thread, All I can say is that it's really disheartening to think that so many Americans can't see Romney for what he really is. He's one of those very people that Michele Bachman wanted to weed out of our government for having "anti american views."

He bankrupts companies and destroys jobs at home, outsources jobs overseas to sweatshop factories, then stashes his booty in foreign bank accounts in order to keep from contributing to his homeland. Now that's what I call a true patriot.

With respect to those who continue to defend Romney, I can tell ya'll this; It's going to be a wonderful day on November 7th when the rest of us can come to ATS and enjoy healthy debate without all of the fact-less rhetoric coming from the delusional right wing nuts.

Judging from their complete disregard for reality, when it does set in, I expect they will short out their keyboards with uncontrollably weeping, (like John Boehner) resulting in what should be a great day of right-wing silence here on ATS.

Funny you would denounce common rhetoric and then immediately employ it?

That is a fallacy of false equivalance. Idealogy plays a part in any political discourse, public, private and congressional.

I see Romney winning Wisconsin. The GOP / Tea Party have enthusiasm.

The democrats - just stayed home - during the Gov. Scott Walker recall election.

I predict they will do the same on November 6th.

Wisconsin:

Romney 54%

Obama 46%

Lets see how close i am.

In my opinion there is a larger socialogical factor at play.

National Crisis works in favor of GOP idealogy.

BTW - I say "GOP" not "Conservative"...cuz old fashined GOP/Conservatives are a dying breed...driven out of congress and hunted as RINOs.

Either way...at times of crisis and uncertaintity...people "think" less and "feel" more...like nature designed it, fight or flee, thinking can cost you when a bear is attacking.

Xenophobia always tics upward in national crisis...fear mongering has traction...mild biases inflame to outright racism and bigotry. Semi-normal conservatives found themselves screaming about Mosques and Sharia Law and how President Obama was a secret terrorits from Kenya. Hate and anger are just the ugly cousins of fear ..and none of it involves objective or rational thought.

In 2010 the GOP capitalized on the trough of the recession or "near economic collapse" and they didn't have to offer solutions to win.

That is why obstructionism was a clear strategy to them. The longer the country wallowed in recession, the more thier rhetoric worked the more power they amassed. For a moment Karl Rove thought his dream of a tyranical "Permanent Majority" was in reach. People were scared and not thinking...but lashing out. Perfect!

As the economy recovers, fear subsides, optimism recovers...the GOP rhetoric and rage loses traction...the countries "lizard brain" dims and our rational thinking centers come back on line.

So Romney erroneously ran his campaign like it was 2010, when it is 2012...but in all fairness he kind of had to, since the base that nominated him was still living in 2010....and some still are. they are just shrinking quickly from a brief slim majority to a marginilized minority....in inverse relationship to our economic recovery.
