Today is the day, 188 days from the last predicted day of the 188 day cycle, which was supposed to be March 22nd.

However, that quake ended up happening on March 20th.

It seems that the quakes that happen in spring time of the cycle are larger than the ones that happen in the Fall.

What are the chances of these big EQ's happening on the exact days every 188 days? Any statisticians in the house?

Here is another ATS thread on the 188 day cycle:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Here's where I predicted the Mexican quake to the day on another site:

Silver Doctor's reader predicts Mexican quake to the day

So, what are we lining up with every 188 days to cause these quakes?

A large mass entering the outer reaches of our system.

That was last thursday Bro.
And this is a far cry from being a severe or megaquake not to mention the last 1 was 3 days late.

Today is the day, 188 days from the 7.9 in Mexico on March 20th.

No. It's 190 days. 190.23 days to be exact.
But let's just ignore the earthquakes that have happened between now and then.

Anyway, I predicted the 7.7 earthquake that occurred on 8/14/12 in this post:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

It was the 7th in the 899 day cycle I discovered.
Mine's better because all the quakes have been 7.0 or greater. I didn't have to waffle over the number of days or the magnitude.
So there!

Count the days yourself. The last date was supposed to be March 22nd, and today is 188 days from that date.

umm, not quite, your math is wrong it's been 190 days
www.timeanddate.com...
and on March 20th there was a 7.4 not 7.9, that's a big difference.... people read threads like this and that's how rumors start.

and 6.9 in Alaska is not unusual

Yes, it is 190 days from March 20th, the day of the earthquake in Mexico, but the 188 day in March was supposed to be March 22nd, and today is EXACTLY 188 days from that.

So earthquake prediction is supposed to be one of the most elusive sciences, yet if you had (and many did) predict a significant EQ for today you would have been correct.

Many sites had the Mexican EQ as a 7.9.

A 6.9 is considered a significant quake anywhere.

Start rumors? How is this thread different from a thousand other topics on here? Are you on the right website?

What? It was supposed to be on a certain day but wasn't so you adjust everything to fit? That's dumb. You said it was 188 days from March 20.

Yes. I was correct. But it means absolutely nothing because as that thread shows, if you look deep enough you are bound to find "cycles", especially if you fudge the period of the cycle and the magnitude of the earthquakes which qualify.

Your saying that today is 188 days from 3/20/12 which it is not
and you're saying that we had a 7.9 EQ in March, which we did not. Show me a legitimate site that says we had a 7.9 EQ.
Your facts are wrong and people who read this will believe it and spread it around like it's the truth.

When did Phage become such a troll?

On topic: I believe it's impossible to predict the exact day a quake will hit, even if there is cycles. Theres too much wiggle room in the variety of different aspects that trigger quakes. However if its accurate to the week, much less a couple days, thats good enough for me.

It might be the same acct but it's not the same person, that's obvious. He probably sold his acct.
P.S. I'm sure there is a cycle and if you guy's are off by margins measured in day's or hour's so what, relax.

Wiki - Earthquakes in 2012
There have been 13 7.0+ quakes and 84 6.0 - 6.9 quakes since January.

Statistically that would be more 2.6 large quakes a week. So a couple days before or after doesn't seem that impressive.

The Alaska earthquake has been recalculated to mag 6.4.

Actually the OP is a lot closer than some of you think.

The last time this topic came up, I set my the calender on my phone for the next 2 "events" according to the cycle.

188 days = September 27th my local time. Which would be tomorrow.

Now if I remember correctly there is like a 3 or 5 day margin of error, I can not recall exactly why, you might have to view the original video on the subject for details on that.

So with that in mind, this quake would fall in the right time frame, however it is supposed to be Mag 7 and higher and this quake falls short. Not by much, but still short.

So is the 188 theory accurate? In a way, yes it is. However mag 6 is not extremely uncommon and the 188 day cycle is supposed to be massive, life changing type of quakes. So for me the jury is still out, but maybe there is something to it.

ok, so at least we got something out of this thread,......that this 188 day cycle is a BS, once again, 6.4 for Alaska is nothing.

No.

March 20 + 188 days = September 24.

Nice. A post that uses facts and logic without trying to engage me emotionally.

You make good points. However, it is also a fact that the last major day of this cycle was March 22nd, which is exactly 188 days ago. However, there were no major EQ's on that day, and the Mexican 7.9/7.4 happened on March 20th.

Also, there were no EQ's over 7.0 for a four months period from April.

Remember, the Japan EQ as well as other significant ones were bang on the dates:

February 27th, 2010 Concepcion Chile, 8.8

September 4th, 2010 Christchurch NZ 7.0

March 11, 2011 Sendai Japan 9.3

Sept 15, 2011 Fiji 7.3

March 20th, 2012 Mexico 7.9

Sept 26th, 2012 Alaska 6.9 and a 6.4

What about August and September?
04/11: 8.6, 8.2
04/12: 7.0
08/14: 7.7
08/27: 7.3
08/31: 7.6
09/05: 7.6

But the one today was a 6.4 so why count it?

How long is April 12 to August 14? Four months, and that's what I stated, four months with no EQ's over 7.0, you just proved my point, thanks, but I'm not sure what your point is.
