Yes, you are all alone in this false rewrite of the "Hasselbald cameras controversy", because there really isn't any controversy.

Not so fast, Gibborium. You are too quick on the draw. You say there isn't any controversy.. when the facts of this thread show otherwise.

We have sources say thirteen Hasselblads were left on the moon, we have another source that says "12 HEDC's" and some of those people who are Apollo collectors seem to think that "8" were left on the moon while "4" came back.

So where do you stand in this narrative quicksand?

When everyone agrees on something except one person, it is not a controversy, it is a case of someone being stubbornly wrong.

WMD, You are making this way too complicated. And you are being very sloppy with with your links. You really should go back and read what YOU have already posted in this thread. First you posted a quote from hasselblad that said "thirteen cameras".

Then I posted a link to hasselblad that said "The 12 HEDC cameras used on the surface of the moon were left there. Only the film magazines were brought back."

Then you posted another link to hasselblad here www.hasselblad.co.uk...

Now, if you go LOOK NOW what the hasselblad website says:

Perhaps they will find one of the dozen or so cameras that were left behind. The astronauts returning with only the valuable film magazines and the camerasĀ“ weight in moon dust.

..."one of the dozen OR SO cameras"...
I guess this means that hasselblad does not know how many cameras went to the moon, how many were used on the moon, or how many were smuggled back to Earth by NASA's astronauts.

www.hasselblad.co.uk...

Over on a different hasselblad page it reads

So, having fulfilled their mission, a total of thirteen cameras were deemed as an encumbrance and therefore left behind. Only the film magazines containing the precious latent images were brought back. Source www.hasselblad.co.uk...

Well, it is very interesting that nobody knows how many Hasselblads were left on the moon, or how many were brought back to Earth, or how some of them may have ended up in private collections.

There is not one person in this thread who has the definitive answer.

I am driving a bulldozer through the Apollo Mythology and you guys just don't know anything about the hasselblads.
