Pretty much speaks for itself:

Especially telling, critics of the searches say, is that the efforts are focused on crucial swing states from Colorado to Florida, where both political parties and the presidential campaigns are watching every vote. And in Colorado, most of those who received letters are either Democrats or unaffiliated with a party. It's a similar story in Florida, too.

OTOH

Republicans argue that voting fraud is no small affair, even if the cases are few, when some elections are decided by hundreds of votes.

...well fair enough....but doesn't that work both ways? If you are really interested in DEMOCRACY then why wouldn't you look at all voters, regardless of stated affiliation?

A lopsided examination that looks at the opponents of one party looks more liek corrupt practice than a sincere effort to make sure the vote is right!!

If they were actually concerned about the integrity of the voting, they would be looking at absentee ballots, where there is actually a lot of issues.

Its interesting to investigate on this...get licenses and shorter voting hours..but ignore completely absentee's.

Actually, its not very interesting..once you see the demographics of people whom vote more absentee, then you quickly realize why the right ignores that actual issue.

any fraud = unacceptable...the whole premise of the system relies on integrity/legitimacy...

The democratic system is failing and failing hard, which I think is a wonderful thing...When you have a country where ignorance > intelligence the mob rule majority will run the show and chaos on BS mountain will be rampant...

Democracy isn't the best form of government...it just means whatever BS the government tries to pull...will have the majority on their side...and in the eyes of the "government" that is acceptable and all it needs to do whatever it wants...

Perhaps you could start a thread recommending a better form of government for that debate.

Maybe they are worried that what they did in Florida to get the little drunk as president will come back and bite them in the bum

Funny that they seem to be looking at the wrong places. Link Maybe not a indication of national voter fraud but it begs the question do they vote in all and not just papa's elections? This knida of thing in state level politics does carry over to national elections in my opinion. "Party bosses" tend to pick special candidate's when vacancies occur. Ahem Kristen Gilibrante
