No.

CORPORATIONS are destroying it.

Scientists are warning us constantly.

But scientists don't make enough money to put out adverts to change the way people think or act, where-as the energy companies and trillion dollar industries can keep advertising their products as if they are the next best thing, while completely ignoring the bigger picture of what they are doing.

People are waking up slowly to how little regard these monstrous institutions have for our beautiful planet.

It's a battle for peoples minds, basically instinct vs materialism.

Instincts will win, in the end.

I can only hope it's not too late.

Without shareholders and consumers being driven by profit and more of the latest everything in a throwaway society, things could be way different.

Corporations are run by .... you guessed it - people. As are Governments.

So yeah you are correct. We also have emerging third world countries who now want their slice of the pie,
destroying whole tracts of ecosystems in the name of progress and profit.

The media is also complicit in its involvement - telling us what we must have to be fashionable or up to date in an uber cool society - again profit driven.

Without consumers, corporate profit is not there. Without profit corporations die.

Therein lies the bottom line ... consumers / people can dictate what they will and won't subscribe to.
Corporations / Governments must listen to the people to survive.

But the people must speak up. The people need to know what is really happening. ( not in a Kardashian way )

I stand by my comment that people are ruining the world. Some just don't realise it. Most don't care as long as they can have whatever they want when they want it. Corporations are there to feed this on a large scale.

The world population needs to consume less and put back more. I wish it was simple.

Like you, I hope it's not too late and that instinct or good old fashioned common sense, will prevail.
Nature is too special to ignore.
