WikiLeaks reveals NATO attack plan against Russia

The British newspaper The Guardian printed a telegram reproduced by the WikiLeaks site, this time a NATO plan for a massive attack on Russia. The plan for large-scale war against the Russians predicts the displacement of nine military divisions from the U.S., Britain, Germany and Poland.

According to the Guardian, the attack is predicted to include the ports of Germany and Poland to be used to receive the naval assault from the U.S. and Britain.

the Guardian link, which I think I can't post, says that the NATO plan was to PROTECT the baltic states from Russian attacks, which makes a LOT more sense...

me thinks Pravda is the wrong source for this....

NATO has ALWAYS had plans for attacks on Russia. They have plans for attacks on a lot of countries. It's called being prepared. You're screwed if you don't already have plans ready, and the SHTF.

About the author of the Pravda piece:

Operation Eagle Guardian

Eagle Guardian is a NATO regional defence scheme drawn up in early 2010 to defend the Baltic states and Poland against an attack by Russia.

The plan identifies ports in Poland and Germany to receive naval assault forces, as well as British and US warships. Nine NATO divisions from the US, Great Britain, Germany and Poland should carry out combat operations according to Article 5 of the NATO Charter in case of an armed aggression against the Baltic states or Poland.

Why would one attack Russia? Look at what America/NATO is doing to the world.. I know they've always wanted to attack Russia, but Russia is just sitting there, minding their own damn business, unless they get provoked of course.

A war with Russia is a war that no one wants to get involved with, only the Politician's want that war.

again, the plan was NOT to attack Russia... that's just Pravda's propaganda... the cables are on wikileaks and clearly say defend places like Poland FROM Russia if Russia attacked... and that's after watching Russia's behaviour in the Baltic states...

Contingency planning. You plan for just about everything you can imagine. The US even had plans ready for the invasion of Canada at one point.

It is a plan to defend certain NATO states from a Russian invasion. Of course we have plans for everything, it is some peoples full time job.

Um, NATO was formed and founded in the shadow of Soviet Russia mainly as a mutually supporting defense treaty against Soviet aggression.

It's thus not surprising at all the there were attack plans against Russia.

Hasn't the U.S. military been in training and preparation exercises for space alien invasions?
That doesn't mean there are actually going to be any space alien invasions, but, using space alien invasions for a training exercise is a convenient way to train against nations that might get a little sensitive about your military training to defeat them by name.

Whatever plans there are, or were, it's not to say they were ever going to happen.

The state of any military is a desire to be prepared, for anything coming from any angle, by anyone, including friends.
