Iran discovered listening device near the nuclear site

Maybe through this device The Israelis know that Iran is not being sincere regarding their nuclear plans?
By exposing this Israelis risk being caught spying?

Iranian Revolutionary Guards found monitoring device disguised as rock near Fordow nuclear site

Soldiers were checking on communications terminals at Fordow when they discovered a rock, according to the report. When the soldiers attempted to move the rock, it exploded, presumably self-destructing.

The device was reportedly capable of intercepting data from computers in Fordow. The Iranians did not report the discovery, according to the Times.

Not a suprise, MI5 have been cought out with these kinds of devices by the Russians so they do work and quite effectivley. I would be more suprised if Israel and the West were not trying to spy on Iran.

You can never trust what the Iranian government says. Often it's a load of hoooooey.
That being said .. it wouldn't surprise me if someone was listening in at the site.
Considering how cat and mouse Iran has been with everything .. I'm sure that
many people around the world are nervous. The USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, etc etc

The Sunday Times reported Sunday, citing western intelligence sources. Soldiers were checking on communications terminals at Fordow when they discovered a rock, according to the report. When the soldiers attempted to move the rock, it exploded, presumably self-destructing.

It´s just a dumb propaganda story.

Right, just place the rock outside of the nuclear facility and you can tap into their computers.

Yet they are refrained from making any moves.

It would be understandable for Israelis to push for a red line Maybe they know something we don't.

If you read the entire OP it WASN'T reported by the Iranian Government. It exploded a month ago and Western Intel sources broke the story.

It could be propaganda to remind people of Irans potential nuclear capability and to suggest that the Western intelligence agencies know exactly what is going on there with their fancy devices.

There is quite a difference between a radio transmitter for communication, and a device that can tap into a facility's secured computer system from a distance.

I assume you are refering to this,

Disguising spy equipment as elements of landscape is far from unusual. In 2006 a major scandal erupted in Russia, after a controversial documentary said British secret services used a transmitter disguised as a rock to communicate with some non-governmental organizations working in Moscow.

You can't trust what any of them say.


That being said. If there really was a listening device found near a nuclear site in Iran, I'm sure the Iranian government would have milked it for all it's worth in the press. They would have made sure the entire world knew about it and they would have blamed the USA .. even if the device was Saudi oriented. So I doubt there was a device there.
