ELEVEN CHRISTIANS ARRESTED, JAILED, AND CHARGED
UNDER HATE CRIMES LEGISLATION 10/11/04
PHILADELPHIA - On Sunday, October 10, 2004, eleven Christians with the Philadelphia-based Repent America were arrested, jailed, and charged under hate
crimes legislation during an evangelistic outreach at the annual "OutFest" homosexual pride event held in the public streets of Philadelphia.
The six men and five women representing Repent America approached the event and were immediately confronted with unlawful opposition by a group of
homosexuals. This group, the “Pink Angels”, was formed by homosexual attorney Chuck Volz, a senior adviser to Philly Pride Presents, organizers of the
annual OutFest event which receives $22,500 yearly from the City of Philadelphia. The “Pink Angels” blocked access to Repent America by forming a
human chain, refusing to allow the Christians to walk down the public sidewalk. Police intervened shortly thereafter, escorting Repent America through
the human blockade.

Weren't you one of the ones who complained about Kerry mentioning Cheney's gay daughter? Now it's ok to say thing like, homosexual attorney? Who's
playing the gay card now?

And they say justice doesn't still exist in America.
I'd say it's a good start, but we can certainly put more Christians in jail. Thank you, Ed Singer, for showing us that while eleven may seem small,
it is hopefully a sign of good things to come. One day, through your galiant efforts, we may be able to put eleven thousand christians in jail. Yes,
there is certainly a glimmer of hope on the horizon, and with you leading the way and providing a light in the darkness, we can persecute more and we
WILL persecute more.

Though I support all gay rights, the point is that everyone has a right to an opinion. If we start nitpicking about what can and can't be said about
minorities, this country will go down the tube. Think about how many minorities there are in America. If we protect all of the minorities, what the
hell are we going to be able to say anymore?! It's interesting to note that hate-crime legislation about Jews and Israel has recently been passed in
Congress by a bi-partisan effort.
Read Fahrenheit 451. This is getting out of hand and justifies that neither major party is worth the vote.

The Bush administration is developing a parallel legal system in which terrorism suspects -- U.S. citizens and noncitizens alike -- may be
investigated, jailed, interrogated, tried and punished without legal protections guaranteed by the ordinary system, lawyers inside and outside the
government say.

Innocuous objects such as iced tea bottles and a toy car were described as terrorist devices by the FBI and a joint task force of police officers.
Added to these spurious charges was the fact that rudimentary bomb making information was posted on his server, not by Sherman, but by a white Orange
County teen who was not charged with a crime.
To justify the raid, the FBI also used the testimony of a militia man who assisted them in their efforts to entrap Sherman.

I'd just like to add that I want to know what prompted the arrest of RepentAmerica. My original post was aimed at the opposing group's right and as
I read the article again, I really don't understand what happened.

According to their own article they were arrested for:
The three felonies and five misdemeanors include: Criminal Conspiracy (Felony), Possession of Instruments of Crime (Misdemeanor), Reckless
Endangerment of Another Person (Misdemeanor), Ethnic Intimidation (Felony), Riot (Felony), Failure to Disperse (Misdemeanor), Disorderly Conduct
(Misdemeanor), and Obstructing Highways (Misdemeanor).
Doesn't sound like a straightforward breach of rights to me...

It is a bad thing when ANY group gay or Religious is denied free speech.
I must wonder what happened though I did not know they could arrest you for just protesting ANYTHING.

I agree 100%
Why is it any worse to kill someone because you dont like their race/religion/sexual preferance?
Isnt it allready against the law to kill ANYONE?
Are they any more dead?
Is it less of a crime to kill some one you like?
The entire idea is stupid.

Agreed.
I am against discrimination, as I'm sure we all are but this...
Hate crime legislation (such as longer sentences for the same crime, if commited as a 'hate crime') is the same as prosecuting somebody's motive.
Thought policing. This is basically making certain thoughts against the law.
Murder is murder.

Pine Bush senior had replica of Civil War musket for re-enactment

Pine Bush – Last weekend, Joshua Phelps was fighting Confederate soldiers with a Civil War-era musket in his arms, re-enacting the epic 1863 Battle of
Chancellorsville.
When the Pine Bush High School senior was done charging around the grassy fields behind Montgomery's Brick House Museum, he tossed his musket, a
bayonet and Union soldier's blue uniform in his car and forgot about it.

Sarcasm? What's this sarcasm you speak of?
Christian persecution is a serious problem that we face in this great nation of ours. Frankly, I think the efforts of some Americans are, quite
simply, lacking. I'm hoping for a nice, year end number of at least 50,000 persecutions. Believe me, it's not for a lack of trying on our part,
it's just that some people are simply underachievers. They're not properly motivated
Eleven? I think that's okay, but I think we can do better. Don't you? I mean, have you persecuted a Christian today? If not, there's still some
time. They're not that hard to find. Quite easy to spot actually, by the halos around their heads and the air under their feet. Also, they float on
water.
They believe in a rogue hero, who roams the apocalyptic wastelands of a burned out world. Once a year, they eat his flesh and drink his blood to
remind the world of his great, and mighty power. That was until the traders and power brokers of Bartertown made him fight inside of the
thunderdome.
Because, they don't need another hero. They just need to know the way home.
You might engage them in conversation, but be careful, because when confused, they emit ear piercing screams and repeat biblical verses until you go
away. Regardless, typical conversations usuallu include: men eaten by whales, a giant horned, half goat that encompasses all earthly evil, and a
vengeful, angry super being with nothing more important to do than peak into the bedrooms of his sycophantic followers to make sure that hot dogs
never go inside of buns.
They tend to collect in large herds around Planned Parenthood. They mill around, mark their territory, look for mates, sometimes graze on pre-prepared
lunches of low cal cottage cheese and lean cuisine. Others times you might find them crushing cds, banning books, and beating up homosexuals. The
leaders of the herds often times display dominance by healing people in wheel chairs, collecting money from the poor, and molesting children.
Now, what you can do if they surround you is flash some nudity, preferebly a female breast, because that confuses them. That should give you enough
time to run to your nearest public school. Your second option is use the name of Marylin Manson in vain. Christians are afraid of him.
I hope this helps, because every little bit counts.
