Gila Izadi (13) is sentenced to death after her brother (15) knocked her up. She had her baby two weeks ago. Her brother will get 150 lashes and she
will be stoned to death. They are currently discussing if the sentence should be changed into hanging instead.
Last years Nobelīs Peaceprice-winner Shirin Ebadi from Iran (pictured below) reported this to Amnesty International last thursday.
Hanging a 13-year-old! Wonder how many cases like this go unreported...

That sounds a bit over the top to me, but incest is not a good thing.
Unfortunately there is a massive epidemic of Incest these days in Western countries going largely unreported and unpunished.
Same with shoplifting. If shoplifters had a hand amputated, it would certainly reduce shoplifting !!!!!!!!!!!!
That is really what it is all about. The permissive western countries are in total moral decay from vice and corruption. The Eastern countries are
incredibly strict in a whole lot of areas. We see it as cruel, but is it really ?

I'm willing to bet that if you're child is starving, you'll still risk it.

I believe the law is about the same in the old testament.
If the woman was inside of town they figured she didnt yell loud enough.
The only difference is our founding fathers were smart enough to seperate church and state

I think the question is, do we have the right to impose Western values on Eastern cultures? I'm not sure that we do.

The boy gets 150 lashes and the girl will be stoned to death, Thats fair. Her brother probably raped her and she gets killed while he gets off
with 150 lashes. They are hoping to get her hanged instead of stoned thats justice.
Kill the rape victim Women really are second maybe third class citizens ( I bet they treat camels better) in Iran.

It was incest, not rape.
How do you know she did not seduce him ?
Who knows what really happened, there are a whole spectrum of possibilities, we are all guessing..........

Are we just to sit back and watch while theyīre murdering children (even if itīs their own)?
Kind of makes me think about the stoneage.
Thereīs one kind of people they didnīt have back then.
Pyromaniacs.
Among native people you donīt findīem, i.e. american indians.
Pyromaniacs are a "product" of the civilized world...

We will get rid of fuc**ing Islam sooner or later. Now that the war has started we have a better chance. Iran tried fighting islam and its
sick barbaric laws for centuries but we could not succeed, but that all was in the past future will be different.
I have said it before as well Islam and its rules/laws are evil.
At least now it seems that the world it paying some sort of attention to Irans problem and that is bound to be good.
Help us Free our Women, our Children and our Men.
Bombing Iran without liberating it won't fix anything.

So if this was the Bush policy and the girl wanted an abortion then she would have to notify her brother beforehand?
Are woman of Islam even allowed abortions?

In Iran abortion is legal until the soul is placed in the fetus (after 120 days).
Then it is unlawful to abort a fetus. Iranian Laws concerning
Abortion

Interesting.. so is it not cruel to put a 13 yr old girl to death for commiting incest with her older brother? Do you somehow see this as progressive
and the permissiveness of the western countries equates to "decay"?
How about this...
In Iran they put to death homosexuals...
Is this also a good thing in your viewpoint?
Homosexuality and Islam

The girl is 13 and will die by hanging or stoning, the boy will not survive 150 lashes. He will die too.
I agree that we dont know the circumstances as to how she became pregnant, but it is the same old adage 'it takes 2 to tango'.
I dont agree with what they are about to do, the same as i dont agree with under age sex, but if you all think back to when you were that age, did you
not 'experiment'? I'm not saying you experimented with your siblings, but with hormones developing, did you not try something with your girl/boy of
the moment? I know i did.
Maybe this is what happened and the ultimate result was pregnancy. This is sad, but is a fact of life. Imagine what their parents are feeling right
now?
To have this shame thrown upon them and then to loose their children must be terrible.
To kill these 'children' is , to us westerners barbaric, but that is there belief.
I dont follow any religion and totaly dissagree with this killing of two children, but i do respect anyones beliefs in any religion that they choose.
But i dont have to agree with it.
The world is a sad and unhappy place right now. We have to accept this, we can do nothing about it but to offer remorse and sincere feelings towards
those that are affected through relgion or worse, through their government's issues and laws.
