20 000 meteorites hit earth every day, occasionally , about once a week, a meteor the size of a house will hit earth. Do not worry. Nothing above ordinary going on.

As long as I have been looking at the VA site (I looked at it the first time today) it seems to be like this. I am not so sure it is an official site. Note that it is a .com and not a .org or .gov.
