something in the sky

posting this here cause don,t know where else to post it...............has anyone else in scotland seen the sky light up tonight?i was in toilet putting something in and the whole sky light up through the window........saw an actually bright circle in sky through the window.......at first i thought i was imagining things or firework but about a min later it happened again,no sound what so ever........ran through to kitchen window to have a look but nothing happened after that........saw someone post on a social networking site asking same thing so i,m guessing something happened......can,t believe i happened to be in the bathroom at time and only saw it through a frosted window.

Yes. Many people saw a nice fireball. There are several thread about it.

There's another thread just started about that...apparently it's a meteor ....or meteors....I'll try to find to post here...

cool thanx,actually saw it a couple of hours ago but thot it was just me hoping it was something and dismissed it as me misinterpreting something lol should have posted as soon as i saw it

It looks like this was observed in the UK and Canada. It must have been a big one to be that bright and be observed over such a large area.
