Well, here is another instance of the second amendment possibly saving a life. Good for this man that he stood his ground and was able to handle the situation. Even better that he was able to do so without firing a shot. This is a great example of why the right to bear arms should never be taken away.

A 63-year-old man with stage 4 lymphoma, steady nerves and a double-barreled shotgun says he thwarted a would-be home invasion at his western Michigan home and convinced two suspects to surrender.

Dixon Smith tells he confronted the two young male suspects just before noon Thursday, after the duo climbed the stairs to the second floor of his rural home in Muskegon County's Laketon Township.
