It's much easier to believe Romney being able to afford a house of that price knowing what his net worth is well over $200 million... How much IS Obama earning each year in office??? I'll tell you that its not enough to afford a house of that price, and he certainly didnt have the money before taking office....hmmm??

Wanted to address the other thing you said.

Mitt is not out of touch because he is rich, Mit is out of touch because he doesn't seem to take the time and truely investigate what its like to be middle class or poor. This is not out of disposition, this is out of choice. You can be filthy rich and know exactly what it is to be poor (see Bill Gates) if you care enough to research, talk not just on a political tour but in general, etc.

As far as vacation days:

So far, President Obama has taken 61 vacation days after 31 months in office. At this point in their presidencies, George W. Bush had spent 180 days at his ranch where his staff often joined him for meetings. And Ronald Reagan had taken 112 vacation days at his ranch.

Clearly he missed the memo on taking more vacation days..

I would move away from Hawaii if this is true. North Korea might just make good on its threat of lobbing missiles at Hawaii. If WWIII breaks out Hawaii would be a bad place to live in any case. I bet his security people would be happy about the move though.

Romney, started from very little, worked hard over his lifetime, gave back much...and earned his millions the old-fashioned way.
Obama never ran a business in his life. He is a professional politician.

- Denying the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya has gone all wrong.

Suddenly, it's " self evident " that terrorists attacked our consulate and murdered our

American ambassador Chris Stevens.

- Obama middle east foreign policies are in ruin.

- Unemployment is still above 8%.

- We recently, jumped over $16 Trillion mark for our National Debt.

- The price of gas has double since February 2009.

- Fast & Furious Scandal is back in the headlines

- Gallup --- September 20, 2012 has :

Romney 47%

Obama 47%

A president should be ahead by this time and above 50% to be re-elected

- The - Redistribution - video reveals Obama to be a socialist.

- Socialists do not get elected in America.

If true this is a ludicrous example of how corrupt our system is. While Barrack Obama is not an everyman he certainly doesn’t have the net worth to justify a house of that cost. Romney could buy in cash and not make dent in his net worth.
Simply put, regarding the price; IMO it’s clearly out of his price range – according to this analysis : he has claimed an “income” no more than 358K in any one year since 2004.

Astonishingly his personal net worth has increased from (an estimated sum) $200,004 to $400,000 in 2004 LINK to somewhere (an estimated sum) between 2.8 million and 11.8 million dollars in 4 years LINK.

So even if he didn’t spend a dime on anything he’d have to have taken somewhere between 200-400k in assets and roughly 1 million in income and transformed it into a nest egg of nearly 3-12 million dollars. I am no financial wizard but that is a fantastic rate of return on his investments.

Increasing ones net worth by a factor of somewhere between 14 and 29 times in 4 years – now that is some shrewd investing there folks. Makes me wonder, did he have some insider information or something?

I wish he’d take that approach with our national assets don’t you? I wonder if he could apply this investment savvy to say the Social Security fund or Medicare trusts or hell the investment US assets in general.

I am quite certain we’d all appreciate an increase in our nation’s net worth by a factor of 14-29 times.

Bottom line is that he is not an average guy – he is a 1 Percenter and this class warfare crap he spews is a tired old meme.

While the hypocrisy of his politics does bother me his status as a wealthy person does not. I think its fine... Personally I don’t want a guy who doesn’t manage a sizable income or assets to be POTUS. Likely he’ll have no idea how to manage large budgets.

I don't begrudge him his personal success. However, I do question the validity of his investments - hardly anyone has returns in that range.

And for RealSpoke, just to save you the trouble of posting "but so-in-so republicans" have made more and faster - again it doesn't make his actions any less questionable. IMO all the politicians are corrupt - heck it’s not even illegal for them to act on insider trading. Neat to be able to give oneself an exemption from the law...

Michelle wears 600.00 shoes and 10k dresses – I don’t care they have the money for it. Ann Romney has a # load more so she can buy more expensive clothing - who cares? They should dress nice.

I used to shop at Wal-Mart for clothes now that I make about 200k wear 50.00 dress shirts instead of no-brand 10.00 ones. I have 800.00+ tailored suits not 300.00 ones from the rack. I can walk in a buy a 1500.00 firearm this month and other than dealing with spousal backlash it's not even a dent in my savings account. I bought my wife a 15,000.00 Christmas present (A custom painted pink John Deere Gator) last year. Our first Christmas together I got her slippers and pajamas. I don’t begrudge people making money.

Bottom line he spews crap about how he was just an average Joe. Don’t try and convince me that this man is an average Joe (He went to Harvard and private schools; so did Romney). Neither is Romney – again, I don’t want my POTUS to be a man who struggles with money.

I expect him to be a good money manager but in Obama’s case it is clear he is being gifted things during his term of office, which is illegal (I wonder what interest rate he got on his mortgage if any at all? I have a credit score of 798 and I got 3.5% for a loan on land.) for almost any other government employee. He is profiting from being POTUS. That is criminal IMO. For him and all of the others – but who’s going to watch the watchers. All our “leaders” do the same thing they are certainly not going to make laws against it.

If an Army General were to be gifted a retirement home from “supporters” who worked for General Dynamics who made a ton off his acquisition approval he’d be tried and roasted before the ink was dry on the checks. Same for anyone who worked for State Department etc. That is only for regular government employees – only.

However, our elected officials somehow get a pass on this glaring appearance of impropriety. I say it’s time for a revolution!
