This guy is incredibly annoying.

That said, Were his rights violated?

Was the Bailiff unjustified in his use of a less lethal weapon, if so Why did I find it so funny?

Should a IDIOT receive a .44 through the forehead for his transgressions instead, why is the Taser OK?

A north Idaho man is claiming his rights were violated after he was tased inside a Kootenai county courtroom.

Robert Peterson says he had every right to film inside of the courtroom even after repeated attempts by court officials to ask him to stop. Peterson says he intended to leave the courtroom after trying to fight a ticket for riding his bike at night with no light.

As he enters the courtroom, Peterson shows defiance, unwilling to be searched. He says it all went wrong when bailiffs asked him repeatedly to shut off his camera in the courtroom. After he refused, he was escorted to the hall where he demanded to see the prosecutor. That's when bailiffs stopped him in his tracks and tased him.

Peterson is in jail under $50,000 dollars bond.

MORON!!!!!!!

I wanted to taser him myself.

I didn't think that warranted tazer time? They could have restrained him?

That was highly entertaining. The tazer was premature, if you ask me. The guy really has a point that the legal system in US is a bit intrusive and superfluous.

But yeah, he was an Ahole.

I'd love to find out how this story ends.

Really?

I guess but you never know what a nut like him is up to or if he's on drugs or something.

Also at what point is he invading the privacy of other people?
The one girl was trying to block her face with a piece of paper.

He got what he deserved in my opinion!

Calling this man a moron is an insult to morons.
I think this is the proper term for him:

Moroff 1 up, 3 down
Someone who is more off than on. Like a moron, but worse.
Jake gets fired from every job he has. He's such a moroff.

Well, this is how it ended:

Okay, we have a video of a guy who is clearly looking to cause trouble with people. He goes around looking for arguments with people. Making claims such as not being a person....

He was told repeatedly that he was not allowed past that point with a camera and he tried to rush them and get past with the camera, despite repeated warnings that he is not allowed. They specifically said to step back and when he did not...He got tazed. This was very warranted.

The man was looking for a fight and he got one.

I think the guy is an idealistic moron.
Being idealistic and realistic are 2 different things.

I have been arrested quite a few times (no surprise I am sure
) and have willfully waived my rights in a gesture of good faith only to have the cops let me go even when I was guilty as hell.

There are alot of people who bash the cops but have never been arrested or even had a run in with the law.
I have had several and have never been tazed, beat up or treated like an animal.

Here is the other kicker...the guy says why do you not want a camera allowed, are you going to do something wrong?
By that logic...he thinks cameras should probably be everywhere but will complain when they are.
Its backwards logic.

The guy is an idealistic moron who has no thought bases in realityville.
Hope you are well Zazz.
Take care.

Is this what passes for constructive conversation on ATS nowadays?

And how can someone be a moron for fighting a ticket? Should we all lie down and take it instead?

So what did this guy do wrong that warrants getting tazed?

A moron?

I like how people are programmed to fall in line and defend authority, because the guy is obviously a moron.

Are cameras forbidden by law in courthouses?

You need permission to film in the courtroom, but the courthouse is public property, and I think you have the right to film there.

It is generally legal to photograph or videotape anything and anyone on any public property, with some exceptions made for certain portions of military installations that have national security sensitivity.[37]

Edit, removed a qoute I misread.

That video is quite entertaining to say the least. The cameraman was warned several times. So I believe he is a victim and a moron - a victim of being a moron.

So is it illegal to film in public places like a courthouse, or not?

It was just a little taze!

It's beats the heck out of having to wrestle the guy. Maybe next time he'll cooperate.
