IBM Lenovo Thinkpad Z61m

Dual Core, Pentium 1.6g Not HyperThreaded
Windows 7 Ultimate Ser Pack 1

3g Ram

No unusual software installed, just the normal

When I pull up the Win Update Page I get this

In place of where the "Important Updates" should be and "Optional Updates"

And the "Install Now" button is blank, but clickable

The strange thing is that when the "Install Now" (blank) is clicked, it seems to update normally..

Any ideas would be appreciated

Well, I could say something like :

But there's been reports lately of computers ofc from china beeing infected with virii at the factory.
And rootkits and other digital disturbances usually hijack your updating for its own purpose.

Try investigate in that direction, try reinstall after having your restore CDs done.
And get a real antivirus...
