Any faith in the system and or the people running it is ridiculous.

People need to stop voting for certain candidates because they thing it's cool. They need to spend the time understanding who they the candidates are and what they stand for to ensure they're making a wise choice.

A lot of people voted for Obama because they believed his lies, others because of his skin color and most, because he presented himself as cool rock star and they thought it was cool to vote for him.

I'm hoping those that voted for him because of the cool factor, see this article to understand what mistake they have made and take it as a lesson learned.

Back up a minute and ponder why DOD was briefing the biggest threat to America was before the "terrorist" boogeyman....they were briefing "armed citizens" were the biggest threat and the Pentagon was getting ready to deal with them.

The Baby Boomers....they helped themselves to the money future generations of America should of had....by giving themselves jobs creating allll those Federal jobs...agencies...Defense contractors....State jobs....they all were rolling in money. Set themselves up with luxurious Federal retirements, State retirements, Union retirements, Social Security..............but they didn't have enough babies,

So here they are getting allllll the money of America and EVERYTHING had to be cut and all those jobs eliminated so America could pay the Baby Boomers. Now this Generation can't get jobs. Can't have a career. Can't even get a home.

Obama was the perfect fallguy they created to change the blame and hide the biggest robbery in human history.

I will start out by saying I am not into politics. I think when you vote you are voting for the best conman. My viewpoint on Obama or Bush. Lets look at the American People. There are allot of us and we all Differ. Religions,philosophies, race,sex,age,and well the list goes on. I imagine as say the leader of a group of 20 people one could keep at least 75 percent happy about 60 percent of the time. The other 25 percent well they would have to go along to get along. Not everyone would like me or my policies at at the end they could say as leader I was a crap head. I can't imagine myself being able to lead over say 60 people. It would drive me insane. But that's just the type of person I am. Any president elected must be some of the bravest people,or most foolish. It;s easy for me to stand up and say I wish for a better tomorrow but I don't think can have one constantly shaking our fist at Some poor soul who Only stood up and was trying to do better for everyone. Is it not better to push him up instead of pull him down. Wouldn't a better America start with more understanding, more patience.
The fact that this current president is half African American must be doubly difficult for him. I am sure he meant to do everything he spoke of. Maybe I am rambling a bit. And maybe this current President has made mistakes. But without his promises would any have voted for him. People tend to vote for lofty dreams. Sadly Dreams in my experience don't come true. It is not his fault other people around the world hate us. That's other people.The Economy is not his fault. That's just human nature, We the people said we would accept President Obama. Now we need to back him up. If Romney become the next president. Then as a people we must back him up. Come what may. And instead of complaining and crying. Do something or get over yourselves. Whining into a computer screen isn't as time has shown done anything.
We have a system and We can say its broken all we like. That's not going to fix it. We don't need more blame. Just fix it, come up with a better working system and prove it works. I don't have those answers I am not that man. But me sitting here complaining is not helping anyone. Why not open a thread of answers. How do we fix it. What parts need to be changed. But keep it real. I have met some of the smartest people I know right here on ATS. Not everyone can be happy with all the changes. Aim for 75 percent and then do better.

Well, let's be straight. The "theft system" known as Social Security was initiated by Roosevelt....the only Democratic president who Obama has to keep checking the record to see if he's beat him out of first place on the "most socialistic president in US history" slot. It was taxation without representation from the start and it was doomed for failure from the start.

However, it was not the recipients fault in any way shape or form. The receiving "baby boomers" paid in through-out their working lives and then got their little pittance when they retired...as they were forced to do and told they could count on.

It was when the corrupt politicians stole those funds and used them for favorite spendy-thingies OTHER than what they had been earmarked for that the whole thing went to hell in a handbasket faster than it would have on its own.

So whether he's a fall-guy or not, he's a fall-guy of his own kind's failed socialized programs. 'taint my fault nor my parents or anybody other than the bastards who stole the money and then used it for something other than they promised. And that's most likely BOTH parties, by the way.

Well, we keep changing Presidents and congressional members until we get a President and Congress who will pass the laws that need to be passed to clean the system up, eliminate the laws that never should have been laws and violate our constitution, and start serving for the people instead of for themselves and their buddies.

I'm not sure we need a whole thread to work that out, but then again, this thread isn't about systemic problems. This thread is about one MAJOR STINKING PROBLEM right now. That problem is corrupt POTUS. One hell of a corrupt POTUS.

Wasn't Nixon a tad more corrupt than other Presidents? His VP, Agnew, was just about as allegedly corrupt (tax evasion, money laundering) and then Gerald Ford went on to pardon Nixon. Pretty murky.

Beating on George W Bush has been done to death, but it still looks like some election-fixing occurred.

So maybe 'most corrupt' is a little off-beam and you could park Obama somewhere down the list behind these guys?

The guy who was doing real community work and charitable acts at the same time Obama was serving as a lawyer for a slumlord real estate developer who just happen to shut the heat and water off in -11 degree temperature right before Obama and company made a massive real estate deal and drove 25,000 poor people into the streets so they could build condos and make a mint off selling other not-so-poor people real estate they couldn't afford and ended up losing.

I don't know about a "tad more corrupt". Now, he was definitely more crazy combined with corrupt, and he may have been (I say MAY have been) more power-hungry....but I'm not sure you can say he was MORE corrupt than Obama's record shows right now. No Nixon WENT corrupt...definitely, but I'm not sure you can make the case he was corrupt his entire career. Nor do I believe you can pin him with lying about his childhood, lying about his career prior to politics, and lying about his record in politics.

I believe Grant takes the cake. He ruined the economy, gave contracts to friends, stole millions in taxes, gave himself a 2x Salary raise. The list goes on. Ehh but what do I know, it sounds like most Presidents I can remember.
